Something I didn't know about the Chargers this season...

From a post on the Chargers MSG board "Scouting Report" for this weekends game...

"The Chargers look for their first win against the NFC South this season, as they enter the game 0-3 with losses to the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.".

Also, from a fans post...

"Looks like its going to be cold and rainy Sunday. I hope that means Phil will be wearing gloves again." - I guess he wore gloves last week in PA against the Steelers... So, they are 1-0 going "David Carr" style.

Some more fun facts:

Norv Turner will coach his 100th-career game for the Chargers (playoffs included) on Sunday when the Chargers host Carolina.

The Chargers and Panthers have met just four times and Carolina leads the series, 3-1. They haven’t met since a 26-24 win by Carolina in San Diego in the 2008 season opener. The Bolts lone win in the series was a 17-6 decision in Charlotte in 2004.

The Chargers need three regular-season victories to reach 400 all-time.

Here's hope'n the Panthers can notch a win Sunday in SD, and have to make them wait for next season for that win.

Here is the thread I was reading: http://forums.chargers.com/showthread.php?t=96725

This might be a fun game to watch.

True, but we also had Rasiro for a TE... and Jake.

We can go here all day. they had LT if I recall, and we had Chris Harris... LOL

Why all the "well back then we had" crap?

No one expected us to win that game in SD the last time either.

Rosario had a great game if I remember correctly. Caught the winning td. He was a pretty decent receiving tight end at one time.

SD home opener, 2 seconds left, Jake must score a TD to win, hits Rosario in the back of the end zone with a fingertip catch gutting every SD fan alive.

The Chargers fans reaction if anyone remembers this 4 years ago:

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
