Patriots NT Vince Wilfork indicated Wednesday that he is considering sitting out mandatory minicamps due to displeasure with his contract.

The camp is next Wednesday. "If I have to, I will (skip)," he said. "We’ll see. This is the business part. I hate it, but at the same time, I have to look out for Vince Wilfork. I don’t know when I’m going to be stepping on the field."

Peppers for Wilfork? He would be cheaper than Pep's huge contract we offered last year.. i just dunno bout our DEs if we did this.. but i dunno bout our DTs right NOW.. head scratcher..

I would accept wilfork and atleast a 2nd rd. But I could deal with a 1rst!

Oh for heaven's sake,another player who talked about how much he wanted to stay on a team, would even take a hometown discount and isn't showing it now because the deal isn't done yet while he still has a contract.

That said, I think he would provide a nice amount of pressure @ DT, so it works for the Panthers' side.

That said, I don't think the Pats would have to give any picks for this to happen, I think the Cats would have to give picks or it should be a straight swap because in NE Pep would be unproven at his position, while Wilfork has played 4-3 DT in college at least. He would be doing a reverse Jenkins. Going from 3-4 NT to 4-3 DT is probably far less difficult than the reverse.

patriots dont let no body get a better deal than them, so a first is out the ? I remember Wilfork being brought up in the past on here, either him or dockett could help us in the middle up front

id definitely do this strait up...wilfork is proven would look great on our d-line...plus lets face it...at this point this would be a far greater option then hoping to get some draft picks for pep
