Sexism and Racism in the Superbowl

Going back to phillyb's question, as a white male, I do not generally find the Eurocentric facial structure attractive. Yes, there are beautiful white women out there, but they don't have that "wow" factor that I see in other women.

I don't know what exactly I'm attracted to - Whether it's the darker skin color, facial features, hair, or what. I know the one constant in 99% of the women I find attractive - they are generally short and have fully developed hips and ass.

Plus... Seeing veins and freckles on tittays is a pretty big turn off IMO.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but weren't Gloria Estefan, Michael Jackson, and Diana Ross the first 3 artists to have solo performances at the Super Bowl?

Also the first few SB's were typically marching bands from historically black colleges.

Just cause we were subjected to a few years of washed up white rockers due to the fear that we might have our 4 hours of fart jokes and fetishized violence interrupted by a female breast doesn't mean that the halftime show was a good ol boys club. It's about the only place that isn't.

Do your research, killer. Leave the ignorant knee-jerk reactions to talk radio.

Articles like this make me face palm. It's just the other side of the coin. The extreme side.

I don't find Beyonce attractive at all, I mean i'd hit it but I find other black women more attractive than her.

It just seems like an instigating piece, an article grasping straws to ignite something. Sometimes things shouldn't be even said, keep them in the back of your mind.

when you get knee deep in academia and play arm chair sociologists, you end up missing the boat on dumb assumptions.

this blogger lady, wow. but she proves my point how people somehow think they know whats in somebody elses heart or head. impossible.

but for her to break this down in the context she did for the motives is scary. like diabolical scary. don't think for a min she is the only person to think like this and she is somehow a "leader".

this reminds me of a buddy who had about 24 trips too many on acid. he would always try to over analyze songs and their meanings in the lyrics and such. i once told him you ever thought maybe the lyrics were so because they just happened to rhyme?

confirmation bias at its extreme.

and as a soon to be 45 yr old guy. i have NEVER once got caught up in the ethnic make up of a woman. if she is attractive she is attractive.

    • Uggh forgot about that
    • I am curious to see if Warren is the elite player that the Huddle Warren stans believe. I am always fairly wary of these first round TE's.
    • The Rossi things isn't going away, either... https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/3312416/unfinished-business-7-players-to-watch-in-back-half-of-nhl-offseason The Wild and Rossi shouldn't be having any trouble hammering out an extension. Rossi, an RFA turning 24 in September, recorded the second-most points on the team last season (60 in 82 games). The smart, skilled, highly competitive 5-foot-9 Austrian is a homegrown top-six center. Minnesota has $10 million in cap space and no other significant spots to fill to finalize its 2025-26 roster. Problems lurk below the surface, however. Coach John Hynes demoted Rossi to the fourth line in the playoffs, dropping his nightly usage from 18 minutes in the regular season to 11 in the first-round series loss to Vegas. GM Bill Guerin's top to-do list item at the moment is to lock up Kirill Kaprizov. The superstar winger, who's been eligible for an extension since July 1, is due for Leon Draisaitl-type money (around $14 million average annual value) starting in 2026-27. Guerin has said there's no rush to sign, trade, or match an offer sheet for Rossi. If he stays, a short-term extension makes sense, since it gives both player and team flexibility. If he leaves, a trade is far more likely than an offer sheet. Half of the league could use a second-line center, and Rossi still has upside. The Hurricanes desperately need to upgrade at 2C (Jesperi Kotkaniemi isn't going to cut it) and have plenty of cap space. Ditto for the Sabres, who picked Jack Quinn one spot before Rossi went to the Wild in the 2020 draft. Mammoth bench boss Andre Tourigny coached Rossi in junior, and they don't have as much wiggle room, but trading top-six winger Nick Schmaltz (plus a pick) could make the math work. Guerin wants to make a so-called "hockey trade" here.
