Okay, it looks like everyone pretty much wants their own favorite band to play the Super Bowl. Sorry.

The broad appeal thing will be what rules the day and you have to look also at crossover artists.

hate to say but

Springsteen

Bon Jovi

Taylor Swift

Carrie Underwood

Outside Chance

Non Current guys like Kiss or Aerosmith or even a collaborative effort by Motown greats for instance.

Most likely though the middle of the road guys

Radiohead is way too good for the Super Bowl. I wouldn't even wanna hear all the idiots that would call that show lame. poo would get ugly.

Yes the Super Bowl is only about getting the moms and wives to watch too.

With that said I think Jaydiohead would be an awesome mashup. Jay-Z and Radiohead? Now how would that sound?

Wasn't this the first year since the Panthers' SuperBowl that the NFL brought in a pop star? Well, an MTV/Disney-caliber pop star?

I figured after the Janet Jackson fiasco the NFL was going to try and keep it wholesome with aging rock stars that were safe picks not to do anything stupid. I guess we are back to seeing the next 10 years full of whatever new mediocre prodigy their trying to cram down our throats like Lombard Montague, Grace McLady, or The Mondo Twins!! lol

I guess that'll be how it will be, at least until somebody's boobie pops out on a live broadcast! Then the NFL is back to asking Fleetwood Mac if they're Febuary's are booked!

    • I agree.  I don’t think I have ever been accused of being a Howell fan. No more than fan of some other random QB.   But I watched and I saw. He has some talent. Maybe I didn’t watch close enough to see his weaknesses.
    • He is a pit bull when it comes to that.  And after he missed out last year on Williams, it seems he is trying a different approach, looks like. Don’t hold back. No half measures, because someone will come and full measure your ass. Close the deal. He left a little opening for The Patriots last year.  He closed so far this year. Of what we know about.
    • They have been doing the mercenary one year RB now for a little while. Foreman..  It works pretty well. You can find ball carriers. The passing game trips a lot of those guys up. Pass blocking, route running, they have a lot to know.    Rico wasn’t a great pass blocker but he got in the way most of the time. He is a really good pass catcher.     He’s tough. Needs to find out why he was cramping late in the games. If he can fix that maybe can step up even more. Wish him luck. I think he’ll do well.    If Brooks can be something, what a bonus that would be at this point.  I really believe they went for him because of his extra layer with being a good receiver. And we need more of that with what we are working with trying to move the ball.
