Dear local sports radio shows on 610 and 730

Please quit taking calls from fans of the Giants, Steelers, Cowboys, Eagles, etc. that feel the need to offer their opinions on what my Panthers should or shouldn't do during the offseason. Tell them to mind their own fuging business and provide those bandwagon pussies the numbers to call in to the radio shows in NY, Pitt, Dallas, and Phily. Anybody that starts a call with "I don't like the Panthers because I'm a ________ fan, but I think they should....." needs to shut the fug up and be hung up on.

Yep. It doesn't help that Mac is a Raven's Fan, Mark James is a Raider Fan, QCB is a Cowboy Fan, Hitman is a Bears Fan and Taylor Z. is a Dolphins Fan. Frank seems like the only one who has a vested in the panthers and he is hard to listen too.

Would be nice to have some local representation on the airwaves that actually fully support the home town team.

I listen to 730 every now and then when I'm stuck in the car. 610 has been terrible everytime I've tried to tune in the last 2 years or so. I hope I was just unlucky and it's not that bad most of the tme, but it was just laughable how uniformed those cats were about things they should know. Neither one is very good for local coverage, so they might as well field calls for fans of other teams that know as much about the panthers as they do.

I really get tired of these guys. They are so fugin two faced. They bring in players for interviews who take time out of their day to come in and the next week they talk sh*t about them.

And I get that it's popular to be an objective hater but their act of criticizing literally every move the team makes gets old fast.

Local radio sports talk shows in Charlotte suck, only good one ever was Prime Time and that unfortunately ended.

Better listening options

The Dan Patrick show

The David Glenn Show

I don't know if DP is in Charlotte but probably the best sports radio show out there right now, and glenn is the best that covers North Carolina locally

I won't cut on Mac, but all of the other shows would be a lot better if they just pulled up the Huddle on their laptops and kept hitting refresh. They would be much more informed.

Aren't you a regular caller in the afternoons or am I thinking of somebody else? Next time you call in you should bring this up.

I literally think that is what the problem with their show is. They cater to the mindset of message boards instead of being above it.

I was for 3 years. Haven't called in for prolly 6 months now. Stopped calling once Marc with a C James insisted on bashing Cam every show.

You gotta wade through a lot of poo to get to the good stuff but this message board is usually more up-to-the-minute regarding the Panthers than any other place I have found.

I think FNZ is nothing more than an audible message board, for better or worse.

    • He's not wrong though. You talk like a politician on here. Leaving yourself just enough wiggle room to say you never fully counted Bryce out if you need to....But we can all see it. Just say you think he is a bust outright and you will have to type a lot less. Obfuscating your opinion behind QB3 competitions etc....
    • Most EVs are in the 90+ e-MPG meaning some measurement house somewhere compares the EV to a similar ICE model and works out how much is costs to charge (on average) versus fill up as a point of comparison. Talking long term, in the hundreds of thousands of miles?  No clue.  Some early signs are that EV batteries maintain 80% charge over 400k miles.  So there's that.   The challenge and charm of an ICE vehicle is being able to park it under a tree, get your jack stands out and tinker with your engine.  There's just not that same level of complexity in an EV.  I saw someone estimate there are 200 or so moving parts in an EV, and 2000 in an ICE vehicle.  I'm not a part counter so I can't really speak to that. I think that the EV is more the future than any type of combustion engine.  Those will still be around in specific purposes, but for most people - an EV will be the superior option in terms of efficiency.  I say that as someone who loves stupid horsepower numbers out of turbo 4 bangers and inline 6s...  I am one of those tinkers when I can be. A bigger issue for EVs is going to be the ownership versus lease.  Right now, there are INSANE leases on EVs, which is great, but what do you have at the end of that lease?  Nada, maybe some equity if you're lucky.  Where as I'm almost done paying for my car, and plan to keep it until the wheels fall off (or my son wrecks it when he starts to drive).  Will EV makers do the smartphone thing and build in planned obsolesce?  Stop updating software?  I love the tech in EVs, and I think getting more cars and trucks off the road is a good thing.  But I am still just a little concerned.  Capitalism has gotten far too extractive.
