14 (14) Carolina Panthers Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah

12 (44) Carolina Panthers Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut

11 (108) Carolina Panthers Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech

15 (148) Carolina Panthers Ty Powell, OLB, Harding

14 (182) Carolina Panthers Rontez Miles, S, California (Pa.)

This would be my dream draft.

Don't know much about the last 2 guys, but I like drafing smaller school guys later, small school guys I think have a higher "sleeper" rate than most BCS schools.

Star: Best DT in the draft.

Wreh-Wilson: Top 3 Corner in the draft IMO

Da'Rick Rodgers: One of most underrated WR in the draft. His level of competitiveness is smiliar to Steve's.

Edit: Sorry the format was messed up. Fixed.

No clue who that CB is (looks like a size/speed guy, but only 1 INT?), but if we could get Star in the 1st and Rogers in the 4th, then I don't give a damn who we pick with the other 3 selections. I'll take it!

Int's arent everything. When Nnamdi was considered the best CB in the NFL, his final 4 years in Oakland he had a total of 3 INT's.

Here is Wreh-Wilson's scouts inc breakdown. Watch videos of him and you find that most of this is very true.

Overall Football Traits

Production 2 2008: Redshirt 2009: (13-9) 40-6-1 2010: (13/13) - 57-5-4 2011: (8-7) 37-7-2 2012: (11/11) 46-9-1

Height-Weight-Speed 1 Possesses a nice combination of height, bulk and top-end speed for the position. Also has long arms for the position (32.4) but hands are on the smaller size(8.6).

Durability 4 2010: Suffered a hand injury against Rutgers that required surgery, however he did not miss any playing time due to the injury. 2011: Suffered a sprained MCL in his knee against Buffalo that forced him to miss 5 total games of the season.

Intangibles 1 Pronounced: 'bleed-ee ray-wilson'. Selected as a team captain both as a junior and senior. Well respected by coaches and teammates. Extremely intelligent and accountable. Possesses a good work ethic.

1 = Exceptional2 = Above average3 = Average4 = Below average5 = Marginal

Cornerback Specific Traits

Instincts/Recognition 2 Possesses good awareness in zone coverage. Does a nice job of marking targets. Shows good recognition for quick game and can squat on routes. Flashes anticipation and can get a quick break on the ball. Will gamble on occasion. Displays good instincts as a blitzer. Does a nice job of avoiding traffic and closes quickly to get to the quarterback. Makes a quick diagnosis as a run defender.

Cover Skills 2 A long, fluid and rangy defender outside the hashes. Displays very good balance and fluidity for a bigger corner. Can drop his weight, flip hips and transition smoothly making a 180 degree turn. Will be best suited as a press corner at the next level. Shows very good technique in this area. Uses long arms to disrupt receivers release, maintains balance and can mirror receivers with his length from trail technique. Has the ability to open up and run with most WRs but lacks ideal top-end speed and will need to be protected in certain matchups. Lacks elite acceleration when breaking forward and has average but not good second-gear to recover if caught out of position.

Ball Skills 3 Flashes instincts but not a natural playmaker at this point. Takes good angles and has the length and range to get his hands on downfield throws. Times jumps well and has the strength and long arms to match up with bigger receivers in one-on-one downfield or red zone battles. Shows ability to pull in interception outside of frame. Not a threat with the ball in his hand.

Run Support 2 Physical and a hard edge player in this category. Does a nice job of filling quickly and not afraid to lower his pads to take on runners. Does a nice job of using his length and shows good strength to control and shed blocks from receivers. Angles can be cleaned up and he needs to do a better job of being stronger and more decisive with wrap. Other than that no glaring concerns about his ability to hold up in run support at the next level.

    • Boy we agree on the dink and dunk. I don’t want to watch that kind of football.  I mean okay if you win with it, it could be tolerable but it feels claustrophobic, constrained, limited, boring.  But for some reason I love a smash mouth heavy run game that wins the LOS and gets the backs to the second level.
    • I am really sorry  that  happened to you they say to never meet your sports heroes i have friends who met  mickey mantle when they were young and he was a belligerent alcoholic at the time  ut broke their hearts  I had the opportunity to meet and spend  time with Cam Newton.     He was the polar opposite of Steve Smith and his public image.   Polite.  Honest when asked question.  You could tell the things that mattered to him and the things that  didnt. The disappointments in himself and the things that hurt him  those qualities make him quite a good interviewer too  i genuinely liked him   Im sure as young, rich, sports hero, he has not been a choir boy but there is goodness in him  the time i met him i took one of my friends with me from the west coast. She said she didn't like him and wasn’t enthusiastic about meeting him.  She left loving him   No one can say anything bad about ‘her Cam’ anymore
    • Agree about oline. They've tried their best to improve that area. But honestly, has it looked like the most expensive oline in the NFL to you? Not just with Bryce. With Dalton's one game where they almost got the old man killed.  Also YAC shouldn't always be hitting a guy in stride while he's running full speed. Pickens killed us after the catch and those weren't all hit-in-stride plays. I remember a play in Miami when a guy caught a 5 yards curl and took it like 30-40 yards to the house. We don't have that in Carolina. Horn might be the closest thing to that but he can't get significant PT for whatever reason. If Bryce keeps trusting his receivers to make plays, I think he'll become more consistent. Seemed like he only trusted TMac. And force feeding one receiver isn't sustainable. Defenses will start to blanket him and take him out of the game. And yeah, keep taking deep shots. I hate all that dink and dunk football. Hate it.
