Who will they double team?

Let's wait until he's on an NFL field until we anoint him. I remember people being excited about a certain "potential franchise QB" falling to us in 2010.

You constantly suck on multiple levels.

I have never seen a positive post from you concerning this team.

My sampling quantity probably allows me a 95% confidence level ( I would go into drunk detail of statistics but it is a waste of both of mine and your limited time left on earth and p levels would escape you) in saying you should choose another team to cheer for.

In short...WTF is your problem?

If you are a female I apologize, but I was under the impression you were a guy.

They can still double team 2/3. OG/OC responsible for Star with OT/HB or TE on one of the DEs. This, of course, is assuming we're sending just the defensive line on the play.

Based off watching Star play though, they'll leave 1 man on him in pass protection and it'll depend on the run play (zone, inside, outside, left, right, etc.) whether or not they double team him.

No team in their right mind would leave Star 1 on 1 even on passing downs. He may not be able to get to the quarterback but he'll put the center or guard right in his lap every time. Now line him up against Dwan or Kawann whose specialty is pass rush, and they'll need double attention too. Then throw a TE or HB at one of the DEs and someone will likely always be left 1 on 1. As long as whoever gets left alone consistently brings pressure this defense will be hellish for QBs.

Other than double teaming, the fact that we'll be a able to rotate guys w/o significant drop off is also vital. Not only will that keep the D-Line fresh but reduce the chances of an injury.

Man I'm sooo excited. Can't wait for TC.

Not right away. Takes a awhile for lineman usually to transition.

Star isn't going to be Sapp week 1.

Usually it takes time to transition but I feel these dudes will take less time due to the supporting cast. they dont have to dominate by themselves. Plus Star is exceptional, he could fug poo up from snap 1

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
