No. Minter/Grant

If signed, it MIGHT give the Panthers a pair of serviceable starting safeties which would be a HUGE improvement over the last few years. Who knows what Mitchell has left and who knows if Godfrey is the player some think he may be if he wasn't having to compensate for an overall weak secondary. I'm skeptical about both of those to be perfectly honest.

Love Minter.

But he will always be overrated by most panther fans. He was our best safety at the time. A damn good strong safety.

Grant was widely inconsistent.

I'll take Godfrey over both.

Plus a previous probowl strong safety?

They get my respect.

Cota-Terrell, Minter-McCree, and Minter-Grant I would put ahead of them (unless Godfrey massively improves).

I know many disagree.

Cota was great. Terrel Iis forgettable.

Minter and McCree? Two strong safeties? I won't even consider such silliness.

Grant was widely inconsistent. I'll take Godfrey over him.

Charles Godfrey was never a good safety. He was just a guy Hurney thrust a permanent starting job to because he had nothing else going on at the position and was too preoccupied stockpiling runningback talent in a passing league.

Godfrey is terrible and has been for years. He consistently grades out as one of the worst safeties according to PFF, he somehow ranked lower with a better pass rush last year than he did in '11, he doesn't tackle well, he doesn't cover well, he doesn't really do anything well. Comparing him and Deke Cooper would be a debate when ranking our safeties over the life of this franchise. Saying he can hold Minter's jockstrap is reach for Godfrey.

      I only used it because it’s being said he can’t.  I’ve said this 100 times already but these deep passes people get obsessed with are much more on the WR than the QB. If Burrow throws a bomb to Chase and he is either wide open or makes a catch in tight coverage those both are more WR plays than QB to me.  Bryce has shown many flaws but I don’t think throwing the ball 20 yards to a player in coverage is something he or any NFL QB can’t do. He just gets sloppy under pressure and tries some Mahomes type backfoot throws that do require elite arm strength in which he does not have.

I don't know if AT fuged your girl or your wife or whatever but your level of hatred towards a guy not even on the team is insane. I can't believe you keep hate watching all these Vikings games as a result. It's crazy behavior but, by all means, you do you.   Now...see how nutty that sounds? Go read this thread and see how emotional you are over something no one in this thread is talking about emotionally.
