What offensive lineman are worth keeping?

After the starters which guys are worth keeping for depth? Anyone paid close attention to the 2nd and string?

Only that has stood out to me is Nate Chandler as he has done an awesome job converting over to LT from a practice squad DT.

After looking over the roster it's going to be rather painless getting down to 53 this year. I just have a hard time of figuring out which backup o-line men suck the least.

Heres the 9 we kept last year after the final cuts.

Gross

Kalil

Hangman

Bell

Silatolu

Williams

Campbell- headed for I.R. this year.

Pollack

Byers

Would you all be willing to throw a nice chunk of change at Brian Waters to lure him out of retirement?

The thought's crossed my mind.

I'd prefer Brandon Moore, but he seems serious about staying home. If he turned down the Cowboys, hard to imagine him signing with us.

(I'd laugh my rump off if he did, though)

Do we have any tradable assets to help the Oline? I think we do, the only problem is his name is Greg Hardy. Would anyone have a problem trading him for a stud right tackle? I mean a mauler. I think dline is a position of strength and Oline a position of much weakness. Plus Hardy may be gone next year anyway. This year will be a waste if we can't protect Cam.

We have a surplus of talent at DE.

I think Bell and Williams are both worth keeping, but they're definitely not starters. As back-ups, they should be okay. Bell has lots of experience on game day and Garry Williams is a body, so...

But how many starters do we have? Kalil, Gross, and... I don't now if Amini is even a starter.

Our offensive line sucks.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
