Cut: WR Joe Adams, DT Frank Kearse

well sure, it's like two kids having a dick-measuring contest. no matter whose is bigger, at the end of the day you're still a dumbass piddledicked kid.

but the point is if you're going to keep one you keep the one that has the most potential, and throughout training camp and preseason (and the regular season) armanti has shown the ability to make catches against higher levels of competition, cleanly field kicks and punts, run good routes, and make cuts in open space

not great, probably not even good, but better than joe adams

Um, was not Armanti running with the 2-3s? or was he running with the 1s? I could have sworn he caught passes from Anderson and Pickles...Either way its crappy competition. They both were mediocre at best. I am still convinced Armanti is in this Roster to appease the App State crowd. That is the only reason. IF he was the emergency back up to Cam then hell yeah, go for it, keep the kid. I can see him being a WR and Second string QB. But a Number 5 wide out...nah man.

We cut our losses with E brown, DJ, Otah, etc etc and we can not seem to let go of this clown? Something has got to give man. Because potential and talent as a WR I do not see. I just do not.

GUYS, Joe Adams will still be in Carolina, jeez.

He's injured, nobody will pick up a guy that's injured to be apart of their final 53 proving as little as he has.  He'll go to IR, they're going to continue to develop him.

Remedial minds.

oh yes because Getty is afraid of their power and backlash...Walter White is a Mountaineer.

I'm an App guy and I giggle every time someone says they are keeping Armanti just to appease "us".

If the Big Cat was playing that game, he'd have been much better off draft Gio from UNC last year.  The UNC fan base is much bigger than App State.

I wish us Mountaineers had as much power as some of you folks think.  If we did, Dexter Jackson would still be on the practice squad somewhere.

Back to topic, Adams could have carved out a nice little spot here if he could have fielded punts cleanly, held on to them, used his speed to run them back, and stayed healthy.  As others have said though, he'll likely still be around.

Pilares was injured/waived the other day.

Both he and Adams will be placed on IR(along with several others). And will be back next year...

They'll get their shot in camp and preseason anyway, which is all I could hope for. It's up to them to make the squad. (Although Adams has a Better shot due to his rookie contract)

    • https://nfltraderumors.co/2026-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams/      Grade: B+ Best Pick: Sam Hecht Biggest Reach (consensus rank): Jackson Kuwatch (NR) It's easy to love what Carolina did. The Panthers traded four times but ended the draft with the same number of selections that they started with and in approximately the same ranges. They did not take a player ahead of the consensus until Kuwatch at No. 227, and it's easy to see how he fell through the cracks playing at Miami of Ohio. He's a high-end athlete, though, and has a chance to develop, which is a fine profile for a seventh-rounder. Freeling and Brazzell also checked the high-end athleticism upside boxes for the Panthers. Carolina let the board come to them in the first round and could have a long-term solution at left tackle, which is a hard position to fill. Brazzell slid because of some maturity concerns as well as the difficulty in projecting receivers from Tennessee's Mickey Mouse offense. At 6-4, 200 pounds and 4.37 in the 40, though, the upside is undeniable. On top of that, the landed three starters on Day 3. Normally that's a high and unrealistic bar, but Hecht and Wheatley were both firmly inside the top 100 on the consensus board and have paths to win starting competitions. Lee fits the scheme well and has some interesting traits as an outside corner. What stopped me from a full-out A grade is not loving the Hunter pick, though he does fill a need to replace DT A'Shawn Robinson. There were prospects at other needs positions I would have been more jazzed about. The Brazzell pick is also an interesting risk for a team that's still in building mode, even coming off an NFC South title. Still, I'm nitpicking
