Positive things to take away from today!

I like everyone else am pretty pissed, but all is not lost. We did many things well and I think this is a good football team that would be celebrating a win right now if Dwill wouldn't have fumbled.

The defense was relentless with stopping the run game. This dline has the potential to be better than the 03 line, if it hasn't already reached that level.

Cam, while his stats don't show it, played a great game. He'd be over 200 yards if it weren't for Olsen's drops.

Shula called a decent game. The offense just didn't execute.

The oline wasn't as bad as everything thought it would be. Wasn't great but wasn't bad.

I'm just trying to be positive here. The world isn't ending. 15 other teams will be 0-1 at the end of the day.

The performance did show the potential this team has if it can execute and complete plays. The defense played very well, and I'm sure when the offense finally clicks we'll be a very tough opponent for those we come up against. Despite losing, I still have faith in this team to have a good season.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
