Hurting jerry where it matters most.

All these post regarding ownership has got me thinking. Is there a way to hurt jerry where it matters most to him?

Seems like jerry has us over a barrel with PSL's. The city (us) is/we are paying for renovations for his stadium. It seems the more the panthers suck, the richer JR gets.

This isn't a rhetorical question. Is there a way to hurt jerry in his pocketbook? As a fan, I feel that we have no power and no voice. Jerry needs to know that this poo isn't working for us.

I have a feeling that this wont change until jr kicks the bucket. And with a brand new ticker, he'll probably outlive us all.

The problem in Charlotte is that even when Panther fans don't show up to the stadium, tens of thousands of opposing fans happily do show up to fill that void. So the impact is hardly felt except when the game starts and the home team is out cheered.

I'll say this again as I've said in other threads about "boycotting" the team.  It's not going to work.  Charlotte is a city of transplants from other cities.  They are still fans of the teams from their hometowns.  If what little Panthers fans we have stop going to the games, these transplant fans will gladly fill the stadium.  Every Panthers home game would become a home game for the opposition.  Remember the 2010 game against the Ravens?  The stadium was purple, and after the Ravens scored, the TV announcers commented "It sounds like a Ravens home game!"

 

Jerry Richardson has no reason to support his fanbase and put a winner on the field because of this reason.  Tickets will be sold regardless if they are to Panthers fans or not.

That kills me, I fuging hate that.  If something so stupid as a football game could break my heart, that's pretty close to it.

Ticket sales are pocket change to NFL owners; they make their money off TV revenue. 

 

I feel for folks that are PSL owners, but if you aren't happy, let them go.  Continuing to spend thousands of dollars every year just in the hopes that you will recoup your investment isn't very smart.

Do they still get their revenue if the game is blacked out ? Serious question.

      Maybe, but a player can also bust for a lot of reasons.  And I'm not about to go look up the stats of all the 1st round WR busts, but I'd be surprised if they had the sustained output and success in college that T-Mac had.  Those early WR busts are usually guys who had one breakout season and then were highly drafted because of physical potential, not already built out ability. I'm not even saying T-Mac is 100% going to have a better career than Chark (although I obviously think he will). I'm just saying that right now, his skill level and ability is better than Chark's ever was, and I don't understand how anyone is arguing against that, not because of T-Mac, but because of who Chark himself was.   If you want to take the argument that you can't say ANY player who hasn't played a down yet can't be considered better than someone who has, then so be it (even though I'd say that's a dumb stance anyways). At his peak ability, Chark was more like a #3 WR than anything else, he was the definition of a league average WR.  If you don't think a Top 10 selected WR with his tape is better than that just because they haven't played in the NFL yet, then you're just stuck on the "he hasn't played a down yet" idea and can't evaluate them as players and abilities.
