I'm hearing RIvera is out if we lose Sunday.

Damn, are you still on vacation?

I know you just started posting here while on vacay in NC, but guess what? This internet thing will even work when you get back to Buffalo! You can post here even when you're not on vacation!

On second thought, maybe it doesn't work that way in upstate NY. Perhaps the fiber optics freeze or something.

Feel free to send postcards though.

lol - trying to get my boss to ok another week for me- the weather is beautiful here now and the fish are starting to bite.

I really doubt he gets the Axe even if he loses the next four. Jerry does not like to pay coaches to sit on the couch. He much rather have fans pay for lame ducks that don't fly.

We saw this with Fox, but on the other hand I am sure the Hurney firing cost him quite a bit.

Call me a shitty fan, but i want to lose Sunday. I want Rivera Gone really bad. the dude is not the answer. get him out and start the rebuilding process immediately.

I think that is bad...

Realistically, RR is gone if we don't make the postseason. Why not pull for the team. Are you gonna be upset if we make the playoffs? Bc Ronnie won't be here otherwise

I will never, for the life of me, understand "fans" who want their team to lose ... ever.

There's nothing wrong with fans wanting their team to lose now so they can have s better chance at winning going forward if they're being realistic about their chances.

Say you are a Jaguar fan. Do you really care about winning at all this year? You know you don't have enough talent to make the playoffs and you desperately need a new QB or franchise changing  player. Do you really want to win a couple more games to place you out of contention for that player?

He stands to lose more money from lost concessions and merch than he does paying RIvera to sit on the couch.

U think so?

The only positive about a dreadful Panthers season is I can usually get free tickets easier or pay half of what I normally would.

Not to mention the numerous fans of other teams that will gladly take the tickets off your hands.

I can understand the merch sales though, I'm not buying anymore panthers stuff this season.

In my book, it's always wrong to want your team to lose. Period. I realize other "fans" read from an entirely different book. That's their right. For me, as a fan from beginning to end, never, ever will I want my team to lose.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
