Coach Ron Rivera believes so, and he makes a valid point.

"Too much hinges on people thinking it's all about just the quarterback,'' Rivera said on Friday. "Yeah, he's got to play well, but so do the other guys around him. One of the things I try to tell the players is we need 11 guys doing one thing at a time, not one guy doing 11.

Maybe the pressure is getting to Cam. Which is not a bad thing.

Based on Smitty's comments, it sounds like Cam is putting too much pressure on himself to win right now (pressing). 

 

He'll settle in and get it figured out, I have no doubts about that.

That shouldn't come as a surprise. Carolina linebacker Chase Blackburn, who started at middle linebacker for the Giants a year ago in a 36-7 victory over the Panthers, said the goal then was to make Newton and the offense one-dimensional.

In other words, make Newton beat them with his arm.

 

 

 

It looks like he is getting a reputation in the league as not too good of a passer. I dunno.. He needs to step up and prove doubters wrong.

If a QB is pressing help him out with some simple reads and easier throws.

Just because Cam is usually very good throwing down field doesn't mean we have to chuck it every play.

Everyone bitched about the play calling in the Seattle game but I thought it was pretty good and would rather see that then what we did against Buffalo

Uhm....all 32 NFL QBs are under tremendous pressure. Most analyst have written Cam off to some extent. Only place to go is up. I do think its in Cams head now about this team just not winning games.
