No. They didn't try to run the clock out. In fact on the next possession they got after that mercy ball they called a quick timeout so they could use that next possession for own agenda.

Again, either you want a killer instinct no mercy coach or you don't....people claim they want it from Ron and today was some type of turning point for him. IMO that play just shows Ron at heart isn't that. That isn't a bad thing....necessarily I just dislike it personally at this level.

And points matter in professional football. You don't need to try to run up scores but take what you have

No, Lester play was smart.....Carolina could then end the game and there would be zero injury risk from that point forward. Same thing would be kneeling down at the end on offense

The is the NFL.....and our very own team has had a playoff spot come down to points. Has it not? Free points shouldn't be forfeited in the NFL IMO.....not on a drive that doesn't run the clock out.

No break from posting needed. I don't like a mercy call in the NFL like that..... it isn't about anyone being right or wrong. That isn't my preference when you are sitting on points and the opponent will go on to have 2 more possessions.

Goes back to points matter in the NFL....and it has happened to us
