J-stew impact on Sunday

Recommended Posts

I think some of you forget how good a healthy stew is. A healthy jstew is second only maybe to AP talent wise* in the league. Saying if it's not broke don't fix it is crazy. The seahawks are winning without harvin but,I can promise you the minute he's healthy they will find a way to get him into the game plan. Jstew is needed.

Kind of an ironic post.

People forget how good a healthy Stewart is because he is so often hurt?  Half the season is over and we have not seen him, thus the forgetfulness

I bet J Stew does a little better than DeAngelo when it comes to scraping to get those tough yards. Couod see him snagging some carries away from DeAngelo and could possibly take a larger role gradually as the season wears on.

I really hope J Stew stays healthy and can remain our feature back for years. He is simply a stud when healthy and has had success running out of shotgun.

Don't forget Stew hasn't played in a year. That's a long time to get out of football shape. It will be weeks before he's in game shape. I wouldn't expect more than a few touches per game to start.

youre right, but long term I hope that break gave his body really good rest and that he's truely 100%.

As far as gettin rid of one of these guys, take note of the NYG. Few injuries could spell a disaster!! Hope we resolve the money issues with these guys.

Im excited about Stewart.  Fans are crazy, myself included.  We all wanted Rivera out, and now that we have won 3 in a row, suddenly I feel like he is Vince Lombardi.  Lulz.

Regarding Stew, its just gonna take one good run for everyone on here to realize just how much better he will make this run game.  The run game is going good now, but Stew will make it better.

we always cry about making a trade to get better (I'm one of them) but we are getting a pretty good player back this week

Unfortunately, that player is redundant.

D'Angelo, Tolbert and Barner are all nifty on their feet in space, while Tolbert can provide the bruising.

Stewart can be looked upon as insurance, dead weight or trade bait.

Add up the 2010. 2012 and 2013 seasons and Stew has less than 230 rushing attempts total.

In that same time frame you're looking at 450 for DWill.

2010 = 178

2012 = 93 (hurt at the end and all Chud did was throw the ball)

2013 = of course he hasn't played so that's dumb to add this year in there. We aren't disputing he's hurt now. Talking about previous season.

Now I'm not a numbers guy, but isn't 178 + 98 > 230?

Also...why didn't you count 2011 when he had 142? Or 2008 and 2009 when he had 184 and 221 respectively?

You said he's injury prone....I asked what other time has he missed. You didn't answer that question at all.
