@josephperson: Panthers S Mike Mitchell feels he's being targeted by the league and R. Goodell. Has been fined 5 times this year, more than 10 for career.

It definitely seems like Goodell targets certain players.  I haven't really seen anything out of Mitchell this season that's out of the ordinary.  I didn't follow his career in Oakland, so maybe he's earned a dirty rep, but I haven't really seen that play out here in Carolina.

I don't think he plays dirty. He leads with his shoulder pretty much every time. But he plays hard and isn't scared of making a big hit.

He got a rep as a dirty player in Oakland and he has demonstrated that here. If you support his play then alright but don't pretend as if it isn't there. It's no coincidence that he's built the same rep in two separate locations.

he blatantly pushes the envelope as often as he can. no real way to dispute that. i'm actually amazed he hasn't gotten called for taunting yet.

I would hate mitchell if he played for any other team. Kind of a punk. But he pretty much backs it up with skill. Very impressed with him in the StL game

He got fined for standing over bradford and yelling after the push out of bounds.  $7500 I think it was for taunting.
