what 49er fans are saying

Took a visit to 9'er land.

Most users over there see us as a "decent test", but no one seems really worried.  Lots of predictions of the 49ers blowing us out.  This game will be, like all others before it, the biggest of the season.

Oh and they are still salty about the uni contest  :cam1:

The 49ers will presumably get Aldon Smith back.  This will be a big test for our offensvie line.

IMO the key will be the rushing attack.  The Colts put up around 180 yards rushing on San Fran, and I see no reason why we can't do the same.

please beat them....beat them up....beat them down....just beat them.....and as a side bonus...if someone were to say run out of bounds accidentally and accidentally run into that loud mouth sack of crap of a coach on that niner sideline....I wouldn't be overly upset

Someone in their thread mentioned Ginn helping us with knowledge of their playbook.

It certainly will not hurt to have a former player on our squad now.  I wouldn't be suprised to see Ginn have his best game next Sunday...I'm sure he will be playing with a little more to prove.

Wonder if we break his jaw someone can make a voice over saying I want soup now. I want it now!

It will all come down to if the niners took a bye at the right or wrong time.

I don't think they will be able to keep up at first, but then chip away causing Cam to show everyone he can win a close game against an elite team.

Our bye came at the perfect time if you ask me. We have been hit really hard with the injury bug this season and the bye helped us immensely in that regard.

Although, both 49er message boards contain their fair share of ridiculous posters, I'd give the edge to 49erswebzone...They are pretty terrible over there.

I doubt Teddy Ginn could offer you guys anything useful. The dude was a terrible pass catcher and was regulated strictly to ST. It is good to see him finally able to live out his dream/desire to be a WR. I just hope he doesn't burn us deep because I'm sure yall will try it.

    • I think the book has been fairly written on Darnold, and by and large stays true. He can be rattled by pressure, and will lose his composure. If a team can get to him and have something go wrong in the plan, the mistakes and errors will pile up. Rams have a better offense, Seahawks sport a better defense. Should be a good 1.
    • Not a defense of him...an understanding of the problem. (something you seem to be lacking right now) 🙄 Bryce in a Canales offense is not an example of a stylistic mismatch, but I can give you one if that helps. When he was playing for the Panthers, Cam Newton sat under OC's running Coryell type offenses. Newton had a big arm and was a strong runner. He fit into that sort of attack very well. Then he goes to New England, where at the time they were running an Earhardt-Perkins system (similar to WCO In a lot of what they do but very different terminology). The Patriot offenses back then were heavily based on timing and rhythm style passing, not something that Newton was especially well suited for. So he washed out at New England, not because he had poor ability (his abilities had been on display here on a regular basis) but because he didn't fit what they wanted to do with their offense. I always go back to Jeff Garcia as one of the prime examples of this issue. Garcia in a WCO looked like a world beater. Put him in any other scheme though...yikes!  So again, Young's issues here have nothing to do with any failure to mesh with Canales. Hell, is say Canales has actually done pretty well at adapting his system to who he has rather than trying to jam square pegs into round holes. Again, it doesn't take an elite level of football knowledge to get this. It's pretty basic. But if you're not even capable of understanding what the real problem is, how are you going to know you to find the right solution? 🤔
