Week 10 power rankings

Start off with Yahoo.com's Shutdown Corner, who for my money is one of the best in the biz.

9. Carolina Panthers (5-3, LW: 11)
They have absolutely dominated the bad teams they’ve beaten, which is a great sign, but all of their wins have been against bad teams. This week’s game at San Francisco is really, really intriguing.

I thought it was also funny that he has KC ranked 6th.  I'm sure their fans are having aneurysms as we speak.

6. Kansas City Chiefs (9-0, LW: 6)
I’m willing to move them up, perhaps to the top, if they beat Denver. I’m not moving them up after they were outgained 470-210 by Jeff Tuel and the Buffalo Bills.

The "You can only play who you play" mantra we're all holding onto to run off people who bitch about our strength of schedule works for KC too.

They played who they were scheduled to play, backup QBs and all, and are undefeated.  They may be the worst team ever to start 9-0 but they *are* 9-0.  IMO that deserves top of the list...or at the very least higher than 6.

So we steamroll Bucs 31-13 in Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay forces Seahawks into OT IN Seattle. We steamroll the Vikings in Minnesota 38-10. The Vikings go to Dallas and come within seconds of upset. Do people forget that during the Giants game, we had more TDs than the Giants had total offensive yards at one point in that game?! No that wasnt against the Jags, that was against Eli, Cruz and Nicks. Think about that, more TDs than they had offensive yards. The way we are winning just does not happen in the NFL. We are making teams look as though they have no business being in the NFL.

My point is this.. get the fug outta here with that "we havent beat good teams" poo.

take care of business vs SF next week and nobody will give a poo about the records of our opponents before that game.

Pretty much this.  Beat SF in SF to go to 5 straight and who we beat prior, no matter how badly we beat them, doesn't matter.

On the flip-side lose to SF in SF and, no matter how close we come to beating them, we're going to catch a whole lot of "see I told you you were no good!" from a lot of people.

The reality, in either case, will be somewhere in the middle.

This is getting ahead of ourselves, but even if we lose to SF we will still have a winning record with New England coming to town for MNF.

A win against SF, followed by a MNF beatdown of New England and the Panther bandwagon will be nearly as big as Star's left bicep.

No matter what happens against San Fran, Bank of America stadium should be electric that Monday Night.

    • Reading the article, this seems to be purely a ranking on who got the most bang for their buck in free agency. Using his system, getting a swing OT or nickle corner at half of their projected value is better than getting the number 1 overall free agent at market value. It's a pretty useless list. And even by that metric, he undervalues the Panthers. Pretty much everyone agrees that we got Walker (to a massive extent) and Lloyd at significantly lower contracts than projected. So it basically boils down to him really being floored by the value of Phillips' contract, then adding the caveat that, well it's basically a 2 year committment for the most coveted free agent edge defender who's entering his prime.
    • Hi guys I know you all ridicule folks here for the simplest stuff and hope I don't receive that here.  My wife and I have gotten custody of our newborn twin granddaughters because our daughter is incarcerated.  We already have two older sons here as well 16 and 17 years old.  We are looking for any help in the Fayetteville area, we take hand me downs or anything that will help.  Please keep my family in your prayers.  Hi, I started this fundraiser, Support for Twin Granddaughters' New Start, on GoFundMe and it would mean a lot to me if you’d be able to share or donate to it. https://gofund.me/f236619a9 Please share if you do social media as I am not into that.  If this is not allowed mods please remove or move it, thank you huddle family.
    • Also based on usage I don't think Melo plays more than 25 tonight. Probably another loss unfortunately
