For those who knock our schedule

for the people who say that, i want to ask them if the Panthers should lose to those bad teams or just maybe barely beat them and save the wins for the few good teams in the league?

The entire schedule argument is pure BS. The schedule is rotating and there are only two games of the entire 16 that have anything to do with last year's W-L record.

 

When you can look 5 years down the road and know what the schedule is for 14 of the 16 games, using it as an excuse to gauge your own team's success or failure is pretty lame. You just have to go out and win every week and not worry about how good or bad the team is you're playing.

 

Given the fact the Panthers or any other team, for that matter, has no control over how good or bad a team will be from one year to the next is stupid.

 

Just another useless and meaning less stat.

Fortunately what people think about our schedule is not relevant.

Panthers have more wins against teams with winning records than Denver and Kansas City COMBINED.

You play who you play....people only selectively use the "you haven't played anyone card".

Anyone heard that said about Denver? That they have just beat up on bad teams?

 

The schedule always changes in difficulty. Things change fast. The teams who we thought were going to be tough end up being much easier than anticipated and vice versa. But you certainly can't blame our schedule for our success. We have had some tough match ups. Yes we have beaten some weak teams but it's about time we get to play those kinds of games. The NFL has been giving us the toughest schedule(or one of) in the league for like 3 years now. While Denver gets a cake walk for 2 years in a row.

actually only 1 mediocre/below avg. team. Arizona is really turning it on right now. the'll be tied for 2nd in NFCW with San Fran if they win and 9ers lose today

I think they don't say that about the Broncos and Chiefs is because they have won nearly every game they have played. Those losses to the cardinals and bills make people hesitant to get behind us.

I think the reason they say that more about us is because KC has beaten all the so-so teams on their schedule and Denver's only loss was to a pretty good team, while two of our three losses have been to mediocre/below average teams.
