It seems like Luke has been giving up quite a few passing TD's

There were a few whispers about his Pass defense, but it has seem pretty apparent. He gave up the Tony G TD, Gronk did him in, Jimmy Graham got'em last week and he seemed to give up at least one today if not two.

What, objectively, do you believe Luke needs to do to improve his pass defense?

You do realize that those are three of the best TE's to play the game in the last decade?

Those guys you mentioned are some of the best in the business, probably among the top 5 pass catching tight ends in the game.  IMO, when he is defending those guys, he probably needs some help, since no middle linebacker in the league can cover Gronk, Tony G, or Graham one on one.

That being said, he is in the middle of his second year, so he still has some things to learn, and I think he will improve in that area.

I swear some posters (armchair GM/Coaches) have an IQ lower than their age.  Luke is in his second year, and yes, needs to improve his on pass coverage, but really, we arguably have the best MLB in the NFL and a great leader to boot.  What more do you want?  I will, however, admit those bear hugs in the end zone are cause for concern, but risking a PI call is probably better than giving up a surefire six.  Finally, if anyone here can shut down Graham or Gronk while doing everything else Luke does, by all means call RR and offer your services.

So we can't discuss where our team has room to improve? Like I said, be objective.

It's interesting really some of the comments....

Well they are the best TE's in the past decade, so it's just going to happen? So we just accept it will happen? Boy sure looked like St. Louis and New England had an answer for Jimmy Graham.

Also, by the logic of many ( not all, there has been a lot of reasonable and fair post), if Luke is such a clear cut BEST MLB in the game, then shouldn't be such a tall task to ask him to stop some of these guys no?

    • Im not sure Rozeboom doesn’t get re-signed, the rest of the LB room doesn’t being any production. Boom has over 90 combined tackles. He’s not a world beater by any means, but he’s volume tackled. We’ve no other LB that have shown the ability to do that and it’s absolutely needed. Without Boom we have the same problem we had for the games Jewell missed last year. Trevin Wallace is a cut line player on a good team.
    • Take a page from Shitsburghs playbook. Where Rogers holds his balls to keep them warm and watches...
    • I was talking to my homeboy about this as soon as RG3 said it. Bryce is way too small to sneak. And the way that defense was set up, I knrew anything up the middle would get obliterated. The pitch to Rico was the right play. Also, they havent practiced with anyone doing half yard dives. So insinuating try someone else other then Dalton (and that wouldnt have work but best option) wouldve been catastrophic because nobody had practiced it.
