No it isn't. If he would've been forced to retire in his mid 20s after his first injury he still would've made more money than 90% of people in the world who will work their entire life to survive.

Yet you would feel sympathy that he didn't get to play a game & make more money?

Let me put it this way...................say Eric Clapton would have a stroke and lost use of his hands.............all the money in the world wouldn't give him back the ability to play that guitar.....

.....and as a player I can tell you not being able to do that would like having a curse to live with the rest of your life ...........

You are comparing someone who has a great gift & talent to someone who is just strong & fast.

Davis not only deserves the Walter Payton award, he deserves a Pro Bowl spot and league wide recognition of what he's gone through.  Many players tear their ACL's each year, and many don't have the fortitude to fight back after just one.  He's not only one of my favorite players, but even though he was a millionaire and might risk his ability to walk later in life by coming back after three ACL tears, he kept fighting to play the game he loves.  I greatly respect that.

    • It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?
    • I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.
    • K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
