people really need to stop listening to the radio and do a little searching online to stop generalizing entire genre's when there are some really fuging amazing artists/bands out there.

 

some of the best country music and rap music is still being made today. you just gotta do your own searching.

It's not worthy of my valuable time to search for. I would simply reference the You Tube video which represents the most popular country artists out there as justification.

 

Now retired, I spend many hours a week doing nothing but finding new music, going to listen to new bands, traveling to venues just on leads from fans to hear someting new and I gave up on country many years ago.So don't lecture me and simply label an opinion you don't agree with as "completely false." Just say you don't agree...

it's completely false because i know country music that is the opposite of what you are saying. I wasn't lecturing you. I was giving my opinion by saying it was completely false. there is some great country music out there.

Meh.. some people like that stuff. Some people don't... that's the beauty of music, even if you think it's contrived tripe that has no redeeming quality, someone out there likes it. For their part, they may feel the same about your music. (I know, shocking - some folks think the stuff you like sucks balls... deal with it).

 

In the end, everyone gets to express themselves, and tune in to something that moves them. That's the good part, the bad is when elitist jerks try to down others' musical tastes. Don't really like what you're hearing? Move on... simple as that.

I hate it that when my 11 year old stepson wants a pop music CD we have to find a "clean" version.

 

And yes all of that stuff sucks, although I have to say that one One Direction song "Story of my Life" if that's what it's called, is not bad at all.

 

My revenge is making them listen to First Wave on satellite, there was some awful stuff then but at least people were trying to do something different and risking failure.

Of course it does. It all sucked "back then" too, but you don't remember all the crap you just remember the good stuff.  

 

Pop music always caters to the lowest common denominator.

Why is Donna Summer in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and why can't she be in the Country Music Hall of Fame?

Why are there all of these country music awards shows on television seemingly every other week?

      Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.

      Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.

      I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
