Drive of the week (nfl.com)- Cardiac Cats

Yeah the cool thing about that Touchdown was the design by the defense. Rob Ryan rushed 6 with a QB spy, that left Man Coverage on our receivers.....He was banking on Cam seeing man and trying to run, he wanted the spy to make the tackle and the clock to run out. Instead Cam made the play with his arm. It was a little arrogant on Rob Ryan's part.

Wow... the Saints player #27 blitzing got a great jump, and really kind of just missed Cam.  That last drive was just awesome.

He didn't just miss Cam.  Watch closer, especially the view at 2:09 to 2:10.  Tolbert got a piece of 27 and shoved him out of the play.

The pass play to Ginn was pure will.   He stood in there with the defense grabbing on him and wasn't really able to step into the throw but put the football right on the money.  Ginn made a great catch and with his speed got another 10-12 yds and got out of bounds.

Olsen grab was another perfectly throw ball.  Harper could not have been any closer to Olsen without a flag.  One place to put it and Cam put it right on the money.

And the Hixon pass was another pass where only the receiver could catch it.  Low and away.

Cam had a bad game but when we needed it the most he delivered a game winning drive and had me leaping for joy.

It's just fuging crazy that Cam hits 3 of some of the most big time throws in his career on the final drive of the most important game of his career up to this point.  The offense is hot garbage all day, but all three of those throws were literally perfect in every facet.  All great placement, laser precision, and put where only his guys could make a play on it.  The Olsen throw was thrown into tight coverage.

Still makes me go "Wow... did that really just fuging happen?" when I think about it.  I don't know where he pulled that drive from, but that was some straight ice cold clutch poo.

Love the way he stood tall and calm in the pocket too with pressure all on him.  He got hit on every one of those throws.

He uses his size and running ability so well but knew running was exactly what they wanted him to do.  He stood strong as the announcers says "In the Eye of the Storm" and that throw to Ginn was magical.  I knew we were going to score when I saw that pass.

We had the best Kicker in the game waiting to tie it up so after Ginn's catch.  We were in control.

Everyone wants to say Rob Ryan was playing prevent.  HARDLY.   They were bringing the house on the TD pass.  Tolbert saved the day by pushing the blitzer (who had a huge jump) our of the way.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
