yeah I can't get down with #1. have they seen our offense over the past month? We had an amazing 1  minute drive on sunday, but besides that... NOTHING. besides a lucky screen pass to DWill against the jets.... NOTHING. a garbage time TD against the Saints 3 weeks ago, besides that..... NOTHING. Now Smitty being out, does nothing but hurt us as well. This offense is mediocre to poor at best (as of this moment). Lets hope we can change that over the next 3 weeks

I agree but Seattle's offense has been struggling too.

CBSsports has us at #5

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/powerrankings

"They need a victory over the Falcons and then some help to win the division. But at least they are in the playoffs."

Prisco don't know that if we beat the Falcons, we win the division outright.

This analyst must be a special kind of stupid.

The reason we are only ranked at #5 is because "We need help to win the division next week."

The Saints are the ones that need help to win the division next week.

We are on top of our division.

I can't get on board with 1, sorry. I think we're top 5 for sure, but our O is too inconsistent right now for the top spot.

Seattle's is also inconsistent, and is only 2-2 over the last 4 games compared to our 3-1.

The Broncos lost Von Miller, and they already had a questionable defense.

The Patriots are inconsistent.

The 49ers look amazing at times, but the Falcons exposed some weaknesses.

There's no team in the top 5 that looks solid in all phases.

I'd take our defense over any of theirs, and while I'd probably have Seattle and Denver over us, I think an argument can be made for Seattle being very similar to us in terms of inconsistencies... and Denver is all offense now.

But.....Seattle HAS lost two out of their last three games

and they have a wildly inconsistent offense, as well.

they are mirrors of us on a macro level, though their defense has better corners and a weaker front 7 (which isn't to say it's a weak front 7 at all)
