Everyone stop crying about the refs

Yeah the 49ers got 90% of the close calls but the Panthers just flat out did not play well enough to win. A perfectly officiated game and we still lose. Panthers had plenty of opportunities to make plays and they just didn't make it happen. 49ers deserved the W today, I'm not going to whine about a couple calls, that crap is embarrassing.

In any event this year was a great step for the organization. Rivera did a complete 180 as a HC. Gettleman infused the D with a ton of talent and built the #2 defense in just one offseason. I'm looking forward to seeing him revamp the offense in a similar fashion this offseason. Go Panthers

You have no basis for saying that. All of the 49ers points came off of bad calls either on the play or earlier in the drive. It very well could have been a shut out with "a perfectly officiated game."

At the end of the first half I'd have told you to go fug yourself. That was disgustingly lopsided to the point that the announcers were pointing poo out. The refs flat out kept the 49ers in the game.

We poo the bed in the second half and got blown the fug up. No excuses there.

I got over the calls in the 2nd half because I thought the 49ers were a better team. The difference in this game was the 49ers Defense outplayed Carolina's Defense when it mattered most (i.e turnovers, sacks, 3rd down and 4th down conversions). Our defense was not able to get the 49ers offense off the field on 3rd down.

The refs were an abortion, no way around it regardless of what you say. It was as bad as replacement refs. The offense has to be focused on this offseason and hopefully cam will get some weapons, but lets not act like gettleman did it all in 1 offseason. He was left with pieces like CJ, Hardy, Kuechly, and Thomas Davis which were the foundation of this defense.

    • That zone was so soft that 3 guys were bearly on the screen. No rushing called. Playing off the line 10+ yards. Yeah that's garbage time. It took an onsides kick to make them try to play D again. Until then they didn't care and still wouldn't play real D against Young until they absolutely had to and that was with backups in the backfield. Slow start is freaking hilarious. He was gifted the lowest effort a bad team can give and still couldn't put anything together for 1 freaking series at the end after 2 quarters of warmup ball. It was like watching someone stretching for an hour and then pull a hammy after 10 feet of running.
    • On the subject of Reich and him being no good as a coach, because he wouldn’t change everything he did to accommodate Young. He wanted to sit Young. He knew what Young was.  But to the point, was Andrew Luck a good QB under Reich in Indy? Most people don’t hesitate to say yes. Well, Luck thought enough of his coaching to bring him to Stanford.  There is a bona fide NFL QB that seems to dispute the painting of Reich as a incompetent and the reason for Young’s shortcomings.  Yes he got fired. It appears as if Tepper and Fitterer forced a QB he did not want on him and poisoned the well right from the start. I don’t blame Reich one bit for being pissed either.  And I wasn’t a Reich guy I wanted Wilks. I accepted the Reich hire but never lobbied for him.  Just saying he is being dogged here unfairly.
    • I think its a mix of both. Bryce being too small and offense is too vanilla. Plays arent creative enough. Most are slants, fades and runs. But even Baker and Sam had to deal with vanilla offense and looked horrid. Thats why I say it's a mix of both.
