I always though that putting Sr. on your jersey was weird. people use jr/sr to avoid confusion but no one is getting smith confused with his new born son.

Technically speaking his name should've been changed to Sr in 2005. Smoot Sr, cause he is Freddie's daddy.

In the last 3 years Jerry has drafted a high profile QB who will command a truckload of money, hired a premiere General Manager, gave his Head Coach a hefty extension, gave all his assistant coaches guaranteed extensions, & spent millions upon millions out of pocket on stadium renovations. And Jerry is nowhere near one of the wealthier owners in pro sports.

The "cheap Jerry" jokes are worn out.
