Schefter: 2014 cap rising 5% to 130 million (extra 7 million for us to spend)

Or in other words... welcome back Greg Hardy!

I'd almost rather tag and trade Hardy for a pick and then use this extra money to absorb the cap hits for cutting Godfrey and Stew. Then on the other hand it would be nice to keep Hardy around. Decisions, decisions...... I have trust in the new boss.

But honestly this is some good news  to start the off season. But 4 million for us still doesn't sound like a lot. Some saying invest in Hardy now. Which I agree we should or We just go ahead and use the extra 4 million and go ahead and dump Stewart and Dwill both. Here is the best solution. Keep Dwill and release Stewart and then sign Hardy to new contract and give Cam contract as well. Sign the guys we need and draft some good players and we are all set for the season. :thumbsu:

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
