Falcons and Clowney. Dimitroff possibly setting the stage.

I would be surprised if the Texans don't select Clowney, but I wouldn't be surprised if Thomas Dimitroff doesn't have that notion floating around in his head. I suppose it would depend upon how much he is willing to sacrifice. We all know that he is aggressive, but he is willing to trade up per nfl.com.

Jadeveon Clowney in the NFC South? How does that change the thinking at 28?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Texans didn't take him. I'm leaning toward them taking Bortles with the first pick overall or trading out of it and trying to get him a few spots later.

I cant see Bortles going no1. I think it'll be between Clowney and Bridgewater. Bob McNair likes Manziel, but he's just not the kind of guy for a blue collar Bill O'Brien.

The team is leaning towards a QB and it's between Manziel and Bortles. McNair likes Manziel, but O'Brien like Bortles.

I seriously doubt that Clowney goes number 1 overall. I mean, there is absolutely a chance, but if they insist on running that 34, I might would even consider Mack as an outside edge rusher, just as much as I would Clowney.

I just see the Texans going the route of QB.

Mayock said he'd take Mack first overall, so you're not alone there.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
