Mitchell, Ginn may hit the market

Dammit!

Dont let Mitchell leave. We made a mistake before by letting Marlon McCree go. Dont do the same with Mitchell.

Im fine with letting Ginn go. Hes a no3, not a no2.

Just for speculation only, Calvin Pryor in the 1st now if Mitchell aint retain?

You're fine with letting our best return man since Smith did it go? And at this point we don't even have a #1 so #3 is fine

Let's say Person knows something--anyone can say on a Saturday that it is not looking good by Tuesday when they have had the entire offseason to sign these guys.  However, I will play along.

Gross leaving may have impacted these decisions.  Finding a LT is more important that a S and a one-trick pony WR.

Mitchell and Ginn agreed to one-year deal to showcase their talents hoping to get a good deal.  We didn't commit to them for more than that year, so there is no reason to expect loyalty to us.

Let's look at the positives--Mitchell was a bit of a loose-cannon, one-dimensional safety and we can find another.  His value is escalated because he was a surprise starter who performed well enough to start.  He was not a star.  Nor was Ginn.

If we do not re-sign Ginn, it could alter our first round pick choice.  Maybe Beckham Jr over Jordan Matthews, for example.

Someone else can do Ginn's job on ST. You dont overpay for him just bc hes a fine returner, but average WR.

The dude was arguably our best receiver last year... Did you even watch? His deep threat was underutilized because of our offensive scheme but it allowed smitty and Olsen to get open many times.

Yeah cause we have such a huge talented crop of receivers right now. We can afford to be picky.

You rather use that money that youre going to give Ginn for a relaible wr: Tate or Roberts.

Ive never said we were good at WR. But, Ginn is def not going to solve the answer. Im sure a lot of wr on the street can match Ginn's 500 yd season in 2014 if thats what youre worry about.

    • You must be one of these "one move away guys."
    • ESPN has a whole is just hot takes and the dumbest takes possible. That is why it sucks so badly. They intentionally drag everything down to a lightspeed retarded level so that it is unwatchable. No jounalism, no nuance, no in depth analysis....just idiot after idiot blabbering/shouting about some hot button issue that they really have no real strong opinions about until the camera is rolling.
    • Young is the overwhelming priority. We have ample time on them and it's far easier to pivot at WR than QB. Remember that 2026 is year 4 for Bryce. That is 5th year option decision time and also the prime time to attempt to regain resources if a pivot is made. The odds of gaining any assets in a trade afterwards plumment very rapidly(all this depending on performance, obviously). At the end of that cycle, now we are likely in a $45+ million territory for him to remain.  So that decision trumps all others by a mile when it comes to personnel.
