Quick turnaround by Lovie?

Could you imagine if they signed Vick and Sproles too? They would be stacked on both sides of the ball and we'd be really worried about them. I know Vick will be injured for some games, but what he would bring to that offense would be scary.

I really really wish they had kept Greg Schiano another year.  Lovie Smith is an actual NFL head coach that can win games....NFC South will be tough.

I wished that the Lions would get Lovie Smith.

i think they'll work their way back up to .500

they'll have a top 10 D and a bottom half offense.

nfcs is going to be tight next year. falcons record gets better as does the bucs, but we and the saints see some regression. i don't see two teams making it to the playoffs next year. I've got this knot in my stomach that says we have a winning record, but miss out in the playoffs, mainly because i think the conference stays strong but the nfcs levels out and there are no back to back winners of the division. i hope we are the first, but it will be hard to make that happen unless the offense can figure out how to put more points on the board than what we did the last half of the season.

Carolina is definitely taking a step back next year....no doubt about it.  Panthers are losing too much talent to be 12-4 again.  Also, the Bucs will be much better and the Falcons should be more competitive.  I just hope the Saints completely fall off the map, but that'd take Brees hitting the wall of age.

Bucs will be competitive this year, no doubt. Their defense is already a strength and as we know, if a strength is strengthened it can go a long way. If they stay healthy on offense and add a weapon or two, the Bucs will be dangerous.

I completely disagree. We have no idea what will happen in the coming weeks and the draft. The only huge loss is Gross, the rest are pretty much just fill-in players that we signed last season to fill the roster who ended up playing well. We can definitely do similarly to last year through FA and we can do well in the draft and improve in areas we need improvement. Could we take a step back? Certainly. But will we definitely? No. Our entire front 7 will stay dominant which takes the pressure off of whoever we have in the secondary and with our young DT's having a year of experience, it'll be even better. Our defense will surely be top 5 if not top 2-3 again. On offense if we can get solid OTs and draft WR or get someone like Nicks, we'll be improving. Why does everyone think that we're definitely going to take a step back? We don't have Hurney any more and we've got Ron Rivera and DG, who are actually smart.

12-4 will be hard to repeat for sure. I imagine our schedule we again be tough having won the South. But are we really losing that much talent. We aren't really losing any core players. We're not losing anyone that was worth much more than a 1 year deal last year, we will find others to fill the holes.

It'll be interesting to see what we do have come camp.

Mitchell, Munnerlyn, LaFell and Ginn are really what we're talking about. Gross will be the big one but he'd be going anyway. Smitty too if that happens, hopefully not.

We stayed relatively healthy bar G, that'll be hard to repeat also.

    • Completion percentage depends on the offense and type of QB.  So no I don't care about a raw comparison lol. If you don't know what I mean by that I don't know what to tell you. As to Baker, this is the second time you've ignored me and claimed I didn't say something when I did. I'm going to just stop r spending to that crap soon but on the possibility you are just missing these things in good faith - "Baker Mayfield is 11th in QBR, 14th in yards despite the TON of injuries that offense has had, 10th in QB rushing yards, 12th in TDs (and above the average in TD% lol), 25th in INTs (league average would be something like 16th). So yes, he's quite a bit ahead of the average in many categories." Rushing yards by a QB DO matter. You'd think Panthers fans would know that.  Some of Bryce's best plays have come when he uses his legs too, and some of that IS yards on the ground. And the reality is that Tampa has had crazy injury issues and if you look at Bakers career he is unquestionably more successful than Bryce and above average at that. This year his top 3 WRs have all missed considerable time and whose best player on offense hasn't played almost all year...
    • Look at the chart. if you are claiming his numbers prove he not  an NFL caliber QB, than neither is Bo Nix, Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Michael Penix, CJ Stroud, Baker Mayfield and Mahommes. They are all below average and within 2 points of Youngs' numbers.
    • Could be worse. Captain Clempsun is sub 60% completion
