Teams use the cap excuse as a means to leverage players. Teams with "worse" cap situations than us get involved in free agency every single year and reap the benefits of it.

The sooner fans stop buying that lame excuse they will hopefully start pressuring the team to financially committ to being succesful.

Gettleman clearly stated when he got here, and reiterated it this off season that because of our cap problem, it will be two to three years before we can be real players in free agency. Until then we have to be patient and find diamonds in the rough. Do none of you pay attention? Why is it so fuging difficult to get that through your thick skulls?

Well we now have seen the genius of Gentleman. He let's every WR walk, loses Gross with his power play last year, cuts a WR that was the face of the franchise, and has yet to begin to fill our holes at CB, S,OT and WR. Finally his master plan has been revealed. He wants us to go from 12-4 division winners one year to getting the #1 pick the next. No one is coming here that doesn't have to because players are a fraternity and they talk. Guess what they have to say about Gentleman and the Panthers.

But, that's what has always been the problem and what has always pissed me off about our fanbase...  We have a successful season, and then everyone acts like that was our reward for being fans...  Like we're not supposed to EXPECT GREATNESS EVERY YEAR.  poo is stupid.  We're supposed to be a fuging professional football franchise, and yet, we act like it's a privilege to compete with all the other teams and we're lucky to even experience a winning season...  That's complete bullshit. 

 

Sitting on your ass and waiting for your team to magically become a contender is not how you build a contender...  Ask the Ravens, Steelers, Patriots, Saints, Seahawks, Colts, etc.
