I'm sorry but this thread and many of them like it are only the posters screaming  their personal ignorace

Here let me sum up 75% of all posts on the Huddle since the Smith news broke!: "this is only the first or second time I even looked at what goes on in an offseason but I think I'm an expert already and know better the the people running the team, the GM is clearly an idiot and players think is an idiot, not that I have anything to base this onn but it's like my opinion and should be respected as law and shared with the masses!!!"

I couldn't bare the idea of posting it, in the proper all caps but yeah story of the huddle lately.

Don't forget the daily original idea of "why don't we just cut deangelo and Stewart and give their money to new free agents?"

But Ted Ginn had the highest number of TD and the second highest number of yards in his career with Shula.

Lafell had the highest number of receptions in his career as well as TDs. He also had his second highest career number yards.

Greg also had the highest number of career receptions and second number of career yards and TDs.

At a certain point, we just have to agree that Smith is 35 years old.

You guys keep bullshitting yourselves

This doesn't bode well for Carolina. If Nicks, a native of Charlotte, didn't think a team coming off a 12-4 record with the league's No. 2 defense wasn't the right situation, then the Panthers have a problem.

With only a handful of quality free-agent receivers on the market, the Panthers are back in a position of almost having to re-sign No. 2 receiver Brandon LaFell, who never has been a dependable No. 2 receiver.

This makes getting a starting wide receiver in the draft even more imperative. Fortunately for Carolina, the draft is rich in wide receivers, even for a team with the No. 28 pick.

But first-year receivers often struggle.

Perhaps Nicks realized this was a situation where he wouldn't benefit because there wouldn't be another proven receiver to take the pressure off him. He'd be no better off than Smith was.

At Indy, he'll be flanked by Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton, two proven receivers.

"It looks like a three-headed monster to me,'' Nicks said. "Last time I was in that situation, I won a Super Bowl.''

Three heads are better than one.

Or in Carolina's situation, none.

Please don't confuse these forum members with cold hard facts because I am not sure they have the mental capacity, or the desire to grasp it .

So people ignore what the actual players say and believe what random posters tell them instead?

As far as Ginn and Lafell getting career numbers, lol.  "What does that even mean?  I don't know, but it sounds provacative, it gets the huddle going"

So an FA who is coming of being released by his team for being undisciplined thinks we are not the right situation and we should panic?

Yeah, Nicks knows more about the Panthers than the Gettleman.

It sure seems like.  Nicks knows we don't have poo at WR while Gettleman thinks we have enough to sacrifice our best WR (that we still have to pay)

I don't agree with you, but pie for the "Blades of Glory" reference. Underrated Will Ferrell movie.

    • I would say the fact that Dave Canales insisted on a 6 year contract should tell anyone all they need to know about his potential job security under the Tepper's. No matter how much we have heard recently about how David Tepper has learned from this and that. This is still the same man who spent $43.5 million to buy and then immediately demolish a house because of who owned it previously.
    • Same lineup to hopefully finish this one out tonight.  Here's today's projected lineup from the Hurricane's official website:   Tonight's Projected Lineup... Forwards Svechnikov - Aho - Jarvis Hall - Stankoven - Blake Ehlers - Staal - Martinook Carrier - Jankowski - Robinson Defense Slavin - Chatfield Miller - Walker Gostisbehere - Nikishin Starting Goaltender Andersen --- Injuries N/A Scratches Nicolas Deslauriers Pyotr Kochetkov Jesperi Kotkaniemi Mike Reilly --- PP1: Aho, Ehlers (Staal), Jarvis, and Svechnikov with Gostisbehere PP2: Blake, Hall, Jankowski, and Stankoven with Miller I'm getting to the point to where I have to get away from social media.  The narrative is still in some circles that Carolina has played no one.  I just don't see how you can continue to discount what our opponents in the playoffs have done, either to make it to the playoffs or the clubs they beat to faceoff against us.  I know this is how Carolina always get's treated, but if we win tonight our record is 12-1 in the playoffs. 12-1!  Meanwhile, along the way the "talking heads" had us losing in every round.  Maybe, just maybe, Carolina's just that damn good. /rant Here's to kickin azz and taking names tonight. LET'S GO CANES!!
