Panthers interested in Brandin Cooks....

Spoke to someone in the know today, he says the Panthers have WR Brandin Cooks high on their board. If New Orleans does not grab him at 27 he will be the Panthers pick.

Kid runs a 4.33 and is 5'10. Would immediately give us the deep threat that the loss of Ginn took away from us. Also he is a full time punt returner.

Anywho... watch this youtube and see who he reminds you of, both in play and in attitude....

It would have been nice to get Cooks to learn under Smith. Especially since Smith was one of his idols.

I would be happy with ANY new receivers now that we have only practice squad players.

He wont replace Smitty but he will be Brandin Cooks. Thats all he needs to be. He's got a great shot at being a star in this league. From the start of the drafting hype of this year this is the guy I wanted. He's got lightening quick feet, he's tenacious, and he tracks well. He's got the tools to be special. Gonna put on some weight over a couple of years and fill out. I like this guy.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
