OFF Topic-but about sports exposure and money in MLB.

I still do not see how baseball can give out these huse 10-14 year gar. Contracts that are in the 25-30 million per year and survive.

Attendance is nice but not outside the major cities unless contending.

The Royals, Marlins or whatever they are..Padres..Astros have less than 50% attendance.

Is the YES network THAT profitable that it can share to other teams and the Marainers can shell out 27 million dollar contracts to a 28 year old 2nd baseman?!

NFL is still a very tight organization with its money..to players etc despite haveing the most lucrative TV pkgs. MLB is not having the same success in TV revenue and I just do not see it sustaining for 10 more years lets say.

Nobody gives a crap about the NBA. ESPN put all their eggs in that basket and it's costing them. If he had said something about NASCAR diluting their market, that would have been way more valid.

Let's make it easy on Mr Cuban- answer these 2 questions.

When was the last time you watched an NFL game that the Panthers weren't playing in?

When was the last time you watched an NBA game? That a team that you like played in?

How wildly impractical is it to have a team based in Europe?

Very. I also think he's moving to an over-saturation by trying to have games on every night.

Wait didn't the NFL already have NFL Europe? I believe they have and it failed. Because simple fact is people in Europe don't care much about American style football. Plus I'm sure NFL players don't want to fly10+ hours every week for 4-5 months playing football games. Keep the NFL American. If the NFL wants to bring NFL to Europe. Bring back the summer NFL league. To help players develope. Like Kurt Warner and Jake Delhomme did. That's the best option for the NFL right now.

The NFL said NFL Europe wasn't making any money and that is why they shut it down.  I think it had more to do with the level of competition compared to the NFL.  People in Europe who are interested in american football want the real deal, not a minor league.

That being said, I think the logistics of flights to and from foreign countries is too much of a mess to work well.

Zero chance. The NBA is not NASCAR, wrestling, or the NHL. It will remain the top sport from here on out. MLB will not reclaim what was once theirs and football was always play the third wheel. Implode ... yeah, good one.

Nice quote from 1994

I'm talking about having NFC or AFC team based in London like they're discussing. The travel arrangements alone are staggering. Can you imagine having to fly across the Atlantic for 10 games a year? Player complain about traversing the country, now you want to send them across the globe? Forget about the 5-8 hour difference in time zones.

    • Completion percentage depends on the offense and type of QB.  So no I don't care about a raw comparison lol. If you don't know what I mean by that I don't know what to tell you. As to Baker, this is the second time you've ignored me and claimed I didn't say something when I did. I'm going to just stop r spending to that crap soon but on the possibility you are just missing these things in good faith - "Baker Mayfield is 11th in QBR, 14th in yards despite the TON of injuries that offense has had, 10th in QB rushing yards, 12th in TDs (and above the average in TD% lol), 25th in INTs (league average would be something like 16th). So yes, he's quite a bit ahead of the average in many categories." Rushing yards by a QB DO matter. You'd think Panthers fans would know that.  Some of Bryce's best plays have come when he uses his legs too, and some of that IS yards on the ground. And the reality is that Tampa has had crazy injury issues and if you look at Bakers career he is unquestionably more successful than Bryce and above average at that. This year his top 3 WRs have all missed considerable time and whose best player on offense hasn't played almost all year...
    • Look at the chart. if you are claiming his numbers prove he not  an NFL caliber QB, than neither is Bo Nix, Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Michael Penix, CJ Stroud, Baker Mayfield and Mahommes. They are all below average and within 2 points of Youngs' numbers.
    • Could be worse. Captain Clempsun is sub 60% completion
