waterworld is an entertaining movie. One of his better movies: IMO.

 

It was one of the biggest bombs of all time--I never saw it--Dances with Wolves either--did not want to see Costner out-acted by a wild K-9 and a runt Buffalo.

I know it bombed in the box office.

It's easy to understand why. The film went so over budget that it couldn't out earn it with bad reviews.

Let me also say that I HATE Kevin Costner.

He is the most over rated actor of all time.

But he plays a good asshole.

Waterworld is a fun movie.

Get over what it didn't do in the box office, and what stupid critics say.

It's one of the most played movie on the movie channels for a reason.

It was a really fine movie it's no money ball but i liked it. If you're like pretty much everyone here and form your opinions based on what others think because you want to fit in or be cool then you wont like it but if your a movie person and like the nfl but know that its a fuging movie and not real life you will highly enjoy this flick. it's very accurate in a sense to what FANS believe nfl gms do on draft day. it's not a 100% portrayal of what they go through but its a good start. So  if your willing to stop being cool according to the hippie hivemind that is carolina huddle then i recommend going to see it.

Is this based on a true story? If so, it's safe to assume that Kevin Costner gets fired at the end after picking 30 year old basketball player turned tight end Wandon Breeden. It's the Browns, after all.

go see it you jaded bastards, it's a good flick.

 

it has its wonkey moments (the little nerdbag intern they cast for comedic relief is absolutely useless and takes up about three minutes of pointless scenes) but any fan of football should enjoy seeing this portrayal on the big screen. at best the climax is pretty goddamn awesome no matter what your opinion of the rest of the movie is, and at worst it's about the browns, so that lends itself to some funny moments throughout the movie.

 

panthers references include a poster on the wall of the browns front office featuring the 24-23 final score of the panthers-browns game in 2010 when john kasay bounced the fuging kick off the uprights and lost us the game, which was a knife in the fuging heart because it was the motherfuging browns, but thankfully led directly to our drafting sir cameron newton, who is featured in the photo montage as credits roll.

Well we know its not since they are using actual NFL teams. Thus the NFL had to sign off on the final cut, thus any thing shady, fugged up, or embarrasing that happens every draft was left out.

Exactly. I think I'd be more interested if it wasn't NFL approved like Any Given Sunday or something

Hey now! That used to be my jam when i was 5 years old.

 

Have you see "Robin Hood, Men in Tights"?  If so, Kerry Elwes (I think that is how you spell it)  the actor who played Robin Hood in that movie, takes a cheap shot IN THE MOVIE at Costner.  He looks at the camera and says something like "This Robin Hood has a consistent British accent"

 

The Costner movie is also the only time I have seen Morgan Freeman play someone other than Morgan Freeman in a movie.  He has an accent.

 

The movie is laughably bad--but when I was five, I loved some crap.  Still do.

Kevin Costner did do poo since the bodyguard man. And yes I like that film it makes me feel romantic and happy with my girl! I can't think of anything worse than a film based on a guy stuck in a war room trying to make the browns look like patriots

When Costner closes his eyes and shoots those two "would be" killers outside in the snow - WOW!!! I get chills thinking about it.

Sorry man....I couldn't help myself.
