Do want!  Dude is almost bordring on Thomas Davis type of frame when he came out of UGA, but sick rangy frame.  Depending on how the first round goes, and who we would end up with in the 3rd, I'd take him in the 2nd if he's even still there.  If we went Moses/Verrett/Ealy in the first and Bailey in the 2nd, I'd be VERY nervous which WR we would have left to choose from at the end of the 3rd.  By the same token if we go WR in the 1st, Bailey in the 2nd, the OT left in the 3rd would be just as much of a gamble.  At least we are exploring every option, and the players that we're looking into further, (for the most part) have all been players I would welcome.

Unless hes the clear/undisputed BPA at the time, theres no way we come even close to drafting a SS in the first 2 rounds [3 for that matter]... Not that i dont want a young dude that will be a stud in years to come, but if we want to have success next year instead of some quasi-rebuilding year, then we will hopefully have snagged a top tackle or WR before we address more secondary.

Could be a Davis type and played weak side LB for 2 years in Kiffin Tampa 2. I thought he would be a better SS, because he does have decent range. Him playing the robber role with a FS would be where he excels I think.but he can play deep.

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
    • I've got nothing else to say really than: Ayup. Here we are again. Again.  All we can really hope for is progress. If we improve as much again, it'll be good. If we don't, it'll be foretold.
