The steelers fans who chanted fire Tomlin because of his lack of success in the playoffs recently are getting what they deserve with McCarthy. Tomlin was getting teams to the playoffs with the corpses of Big Ben, Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers, the law firm of Trubisky/Pickett/Rudolph/Fields. Good luck getting that out of McCarthy

I thought this thread was gonna be an F-150 review

McCarthy is a terrible hire lol
-
What about McDermott for head coach?

That's laughable to hire McCarthy -

That seems like a weird hire for Pittsburgh. They don't usually do retreads, and you expect whoever they hire to stick around for 10-15 years.
-
Wow no kidding. McCarthy is the retread that won’t die.
-
I know a Steelers fan who was pumped Tomlin left, I need check and see how he feels now lol
-
McCarthy has one SB ring from 15 years ago and he had Favre, Rodgers, and Prescott as his QBs. Let's see how he does with semi-retired Rodgers or Will Howard as his QB...

Best possible news for CLE... That fat heads time has passed.

I would trust anybody here to make shootout lineups more than whoever is doing it for the Canes! Totally agree on Freddie only playing in back to back games.

LB Leo Chenal, Kansas City Chiefs (82.0) Best Landing Spot: Carolina Panthers After playing a limited role as a situational run-stuffing and blitzing linebacker to start his career with the Chiefs, Chenal is ready to take on a full-time role elsewhere. He has posted a 70.0-plus PFF run-defense grade in each of his first four seasons. But, it’s his improvements in coverage — headlined by a career-best 72.6 PFF grade in 2025 — that should make him an enticing option The Panthers' linebacking corps failed to produce a single player with a PFF overall grade above 55.0. Adding Chenal to headline the group as the new green-dot communicator would project well for a defense that ranked 23rd in EPA per play allowed this past season https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-best-landing-spots-highest-graded-free-agents-defense-2026

Top 5 draft targets for positions of need
Johnstonny replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tired of wasting picks on TE's...damn no in first round. -
I don't think McCarthy is the worst possible hire they could have made but if he couldn't get it done with multiple teams in the NFC he's doomed in the AFC with a rebuilding Steelers and no viable long term QB. I can't stand Steelers fans in general but especially the local bandwagon ones around here so this is hilarious.

lololololol Good lord, Tomlin to McCarthy... fuging yikes

They just hired him too

College Basketball 2025

Caleb Wilson has looked uninterested this game. Several times has gotten matched up on the block vs a guard on a switch and doesn't command the ball or post up strong enough. Also Carolina getting crushed on the offensive glass. As the most athletic kid on the floor Caleb Wilson should be asserting himself on the glass. Gonna be a tight finish to the game. -
The plot thickens. McCarthy to the Steelers. I totally expected that was McDermott's landing spot.

Tony Pauline: Panthers’ Biggest Roster Needs

LB and DL are the priority. Let the chips fall where they may in the first round of the draft and take the best player available. -
Didn't Morgan and McDermot work together in Buffalo ? We could do a lot worse for a hc and already are with Canales.

Quite literally exactly what I said above

Forward Eric Robinson suffered an upper-body injury on Jan. 19. Rod Brind'Amour told the media after practice on Jan. 21 that Robinson will be "out for an extended period," and further revealed on Jan. 23 that the forward will likely be out until the Olympic break. Defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere (lower-body injury) last participated in game action on Jan. 13 and is considered day-to-day. On Jan. 21, Rod Brind'Amour said he's hopeful Gostisbehere will resume skating soon. Can someone take a 2x4 upside RBA's head and tell him Freddie should only start 6 more games- the front or back end of the remaining 6 b2b left on the schedule. And find out which of the coaches writes up the shootout lineup?
