I would go, get a ac autograph, and leave before the game even starts and enjoy my Sunday elsewhere

Every single pass should have been to Renfrow or TMac. The biggest oof was missing Chuba in the flat and instead grounding it. Chuba had an easy 20 yards on that.

Frank Gore says hi. Willis McGahee says hi.

It was probably hard to find someone that was all in on Young. Dan is obviously very pro Bryce because he is still the penciled in starter with zero competition. Unfortunately I think we need to clean house. I'm not seeing much of anything that is salvageable.

Don't forget that practically their entire starting secondary was out of the game with injuries by this point in the game. -
I think Canales can be a solid coach under the right circumstances, but I have little to no faith in our front office and scouting department to do anything but luck into good players in the draft. We seem to have hit on a player in TMac, but you should get a good player in the top-10 so that's nothing to brag about. We also got lucky and found a gem UDFA in Jalen Coker, but at the same time we made one of the worst 1st round picks in franchise history that same year in Xavier Legette. We also seem to have found something in Brycen Tremayne so that's not nothing, but overall it's hard to look at the lack of talent we've brought in via the draft in recent years and not see a clear problem.

all this against what will likely be the leagues worst defense -
My work gave me their box seats for soccer so I’m hoping I somehow get one for football or hornets this year. Probably the only way I’ll go haha.

Shout out to Wonnum: per nfl.com 4 tackles, 1 solo. 1 PD, 1 tfl, 1 int, 1 QBP

S Fowler on Panthers last drive
LinvilleGorge replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
What worked on previous possessions was no longer relevant. Arizona was no longer focusing on containment rush with soft zone behind it. They were playing aggressively again. The biggest thing that changed on that possession is that Arizona was just forced to actually start playing D again vs. hanging back simply trying to avoid giving up a big chunk play. -
Is Hendon Hooker that bad he can't get a shot??
Move the Panthers to Raleigh replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
He apparently managed to lead the Lions to 3 points in 20 offensive possessions in preseason, but yeah he would still be an upgrade at this point lol -
Over the last 7 yrs we're still at square one
-
I think he probably missed a couple and the pass rush caused him to miss a couple. So in that case, it comes down to play design: if your QB is limited in his arsenal, run the plays that, oh I don't know, worked on the previous possessions? I understand Arizona's defense tightened up a bit on the last drive but hell, they tried tightening up the one before that and couldn't.

Yeah, that stadium is gonna look ROUGH on Sunday. Sucks so hard for anybody (including me) that was considering going before the year started. It’s insane that all hope is lost before we even get to the home opener, but that is Bryce Ball

I want to see if Bryce was ignoring open receivers in the short to mid-range. We needed to move fast but we didn't necessarily need big chunks. We had time to have some 8-10 yard plays. -
Goddamn college homers....JFC....

Miami is struggling with everything right now. We have been ass for a while now so advantage us in the suckage department. I honestly prefer us having the number 2 pick. That way, hopefully, someone saves us from ourselves this time. I know, wishful thinking and all.

Is Hendon Hooker that bad he can't get a shot??
Carolina Cajun replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Eh, Hendon Hooker might be someone we start toward the end of the season, but right now, nah. We were sold that Bryce was this great player and its time for him to show something, ANYTHING. Also Hooker is still young by NFL standards (only in his third season) and came from a kind of gimmicky Tennessee Offense, hes only been on the team for a few weeks and would need to learn the whole playbook and be ready and I would not believe he is ready to step in and play. If Bryce continues looking bad and we decide to bench in like week 7 or 8, Hooker would be the guy I'd go to. -
Unfortunately it seems Dan isn’t any good at talent evaluation or roster construction. It’s rare for a good player to be a good executive. Beyond Bryce young, there’s too many baffling decisions that 90% of the huddle would have navigated better.
-
Yeah I would too, I'm just saying that dialing up deep shots from Bryce every down was dumb as hell.

2 1sts and a 2nd for an edge rusher that is barely pro bowl material much less all pro. The offer we got from the Rams was more than the offer for Parsons. You take that offer and run every day. And yes, those picks would have made a difference to a GM with half a brain. The trade package could have changed and kept Moore. The offer could have been 9, and the Rams 2 1sts for 1. Then the following year we still have our one, which we can either use to draft Daniels after the colossal turd of a rookie year Bryce had (Rosen with Az), or trade it for a collection of picks ourselves. Trading Burns gave us options, because without a QB, building around a pass rusher thats piss poor against the run for all pro money just doesn't make much sense. Burns was Hassan Reddick with the Spiderman gimmick. He was never JJ, TJ, Reggie, Peppers, Miller, Garrett. Those are guys you build.a defense around.

It always seems stupid when it results in failure. I want to see it. The whole field. What was there? -
An argument could be made that the 2024 draft was even worse than the 2023 draft. You could also easily argue the worst drafts in franchise HISTORY are: 2024, 2023, and 2022. That's why you're seeing what you're seeing every Sunday.

I don't think it's fair to say all he did was take checkdowns against prevent defense. He did make some really nice throws that helped get us back in the game. Arizona may have been playing prevent on that first drive we scored on in the 3rd, but not after that. Do I think Bryce is the answer at QB? No; at this point that is clear, but I will give him credit when it's due. However, as has been said, a quality starting QB doesn't only come alive when the game is out of hand; they play well enough from the start to ensure the game never does get out of hand. I will say, though, it doesn't help when we're asking him to play with one WR (XL) that is essentially just a decoy.

I love T-mac but where is the impact from this year's draft?
jb2288 replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
To be fair, Kyler is one of the hardest QBs in the league to get a coverage sack on
