  1. Today
  2. Like every season we won't know anything until the live fire starts. However, I am impressed with the high level of optimism from everyone in the organization. Canales was even mentioning making the playoffs. Wow.

  4. And really, it should be 4 reasons with the last one being that there were ZERO other offensive weapons on that team in 2024, opposing defenses only had to worry about one player all year long and they constantly double and triple teamed him right off the snap all season. In 2023, we still had Jacob Cowing who had 90 catches that year and was drafted by the 49ers last year, so teams couldn't just send everyone after T-Mac on every passing down.
  5. I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
  6. 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023. Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
  7. Good luck to Burns. He’s fine as a third pairing defensemen but Rod is too stubborn to do that.
  8. Good luck to him. But Im ok with this. He’s not worthless but it’s time to move on.
  9. They've kicked the fluff up a few notches for this one. But it's difficult not to buy in. Morgan and especially Canales are organizational figures that bring stability and respect. And they seem to be a really good match. But that doesn't guarantee everything will come together. If the team culture takes a few steps forward that will make a huge difference. But at the end of the day the offense and our 2023 first overall pick have to lead the way.
  10. Brent Burns signed with Colorado with a one year deal.
  11. No disagreement about the state of the center position but Nurkic had no future here and Mark had one foot out the door before we tried and failed to trade him the first time. After he was basically a shell. And let's be honest. Even before the failed trade Mark was simply not motivated to get out onto the basketball court. We can blame the Hornets for plenty of mismanagement over the years but Mark Williams failure here is ultimately on him. While Ayton is talented and still relatively young if the word from Portland is true he was basically a more outwardly toxic version of Mark Williams. I mean does that sound like a good addition to our team that is trying to instill a better culture? The Lakers are going to find out for themselves. Let them be the guinea pig.
  12. Big focus on the front 7 and they really like Wharton
  13. I really thought we were gonna get Ayton. That center position is vomit-worthy right now. The Williams and Nurkic trades make zero sense without some big move to follow.
  14. One of the all-timers for the career he had. Honestly I big part of my wanting him, I see more. He looked bored at times or like no one was giving him him enough challenge. The simple solution is the NFL will give you that "more" you are looking for... He's already got a taste with Horn and MJ...
  15. Fluffed up to the fullest. Does anyone know the young guy sitting at the table with Dan and Dave?? It's in the beginning parts and they are at Indy. Best I know he's not a coach.
  16. That was probably the best episode of Blueprint Ive seen. Im hyped for the season
  17. I remember saying the same on the draft night threads. He really didn’t flash as much in 2024 as he did the 2 prior years.
  18. Thielen, gives T Mac some praise!! Good read! https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/panthers-wr-adam-thielen-explains-160548630.html

  21. Just posting this since I decided to take a look at our new WR1. I previously only looked at his '24 work but wanted to see more.... I'm late to the party but I stumbled onto his '23 highlights and imo its even better. If you haven't, check it out:
  22. When you get beyond the speculation I think it's clear that the team is sending a message with all the moves they have made. They aren't going to wait around anymore. LaMelo will emerge as a true star or they will change gears.
  23. I know fan speculation on Twitter is thinking that ball will get traded, I hope that doesn’t happen
