Ok that pretty much settles that we cannot pay him. If we have to have a stacked offense and a stacked defense for him to succeed it's impossible unless he wants to play for the league minimum.

I would bet everything I've got in my bank - and hell the deeds to my house - that if you dropped a good NFL QB into this system the O would hum. Sanders, Renfrow, Hubbard, Dowdle, Coker (IR yes I know) are not bad players. The OLine is outstanding. T-Mac might be a legit #1 WR, but if that's what it takes to haul in Young's passes then we're poo out of luck 'cos there aren't many of those around.

We're basically in a situation where those that defend Young are asking our receivers to win all the 50/50 balls - and blaming them when they lose contested catches. I know they were grooming Cooley as a play caller in the pre-season but I wonder if Todd Wash wouldn’t be a better option, or would Dom Capers take over?

It's the Panthers. Evero was a holdover from the last staff that was assembled by Tepper and I'm sure it was Tepper who told Canales he was staying onboard. Canales probably feels like the guy doesn't even report to him.

I get why the hate is directed at Bryce, but we should all be pissed at the front office(s) who drafted him and continue to put him on the field, while having ZERO contingency plans behind him. I don't mind missing on a pick, although this one was particularly costly, but I do care about the staff burying their head in the sand when the writing has been on the wall since the first snap he took. Again, that's on the staff, not Bryce - he is what he always was. Throwing at the combine vs air wouldn't have dropped him from #1. Anthony Richardson dominated the combine and he'll probably never play another meaningful snap for the Colts, rightfully so.

Scourton showed some good play strength on that second rep in pushing the RT back. Also showed good hips weaving around the RB + OT I think it was on a later rep. Lots of potential there. I hope things slow down for him quickly.
