At this point, we need to turn evrry stone possible. Being his compensation probably wouldn't be much, it's not hurting to trade a late pick for a possible answer. If he flames, he was nothing more than a late rd pick. I'd rather try this and use our other high picks to continue to build the roster.

With the 1st Pick in the 2026 Draft....
SCMunnerlyn1 replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the Saints have far more problems than QB. Rattler hasn't looked bad in the games ive watched but good lord they need serious help across the board on offense. I cant remember which game exactly it was but I saw that poor guy hit 3 receivers in a row square in the chest or hands and them just drop it. It was rough. -
Nate Tice Nails the Limitations of the Offense
LinvilleGorge replied to Panthering's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's so obvious that the offense is handcuffed by the QB position. Some folks complain about everyone constantly complaining about Bryce but he plays the most important position in the game and when your limitations are hamstringing the entire offense you're cooked. Bryce is not the reason special teams had an awful day and he's not the reason our LBs suck but he is the primary limiting factor of our offense and that is consistently putting our already had defense in terrible positions. The QB spot is our biggest roster issue. It's just that simple. No, having a legit QB wouldn't fix all of our problems but it sure would create hope and lead to a much different overall fan vibe. -
He just holds on to the ball too long for not having any elite traits. He took the longest time in the NFL in preseason to throw.

One less person in Nadeau’s way, Tyson Jost claimed.

Never ever go after what the Browns wanted or took. Did we not learn anything from the Deshaun Watson affair? And yes, Baker Mayfield... didn't work out here. And Derek Brown... rode the pine like a king, worked a tiny bit of magic. Sanders is still sitting on the bench in QB Hell because there's a reason that a coach on the hotseat and a front office that is in shambles and a fanbase that is (once again) up in arms... And what that reason is, we aren't really sure of. Let's not frikkin' find out. We have our own set of problems and taking one off the Browns' hands isn't going to help us at all.

Never seen this kind of clamoring for a 5th round QB with main character syndrome. You see his locker room interview where he just…pantomimes words silently? Bryce is ass, but this is poverty franchise logic

For selfish reasons id love to have Sellers. Howver, give me whoever will make the safeties back the fug up. -
I completely agree with you. But of course you know...hate/envy trumps common logic and reason in sports.
-
the Panthers will have the #2 overall pick in 26' ...just saying

I'd admire Canales' coaching if the rest of the team, ANY of the rest of the team, appeared prepared and ready to play in games. We look like a bunch of people who didn't do their homework being called to the chalk board to explain a math problem. Was trying to figure out if we had any players left on the team today who were part of a winning season for the Panthers. Only one guy left I believe -- JJ Jansen. It has been a long time.

Try to hold these thoughts back until the draft.

When Tepper announces the team is being put up for sale

And what should that tell you? He is terrible and not ready. The list of QBs I would not welcome to Carolina is so small but Shedeur is one of them.
-
I don’t know what his talent level is. He had no blocking and a great WR to bail him out in college. But I think he believes in himself. Does Bryce Young? Does Andy Dalton? Will the next guy?
-
I wouldn't mind giving him a try. At least we'd have an attitude again.
-
I don’t know why yall wouldn’t welcome a QB with confidence. Thats so much more than what we have right now. Why wouldn’t you want attention on this franchise? We are incredibly irrelevant, Jets, Jags, Browns, Panthers. We been that for a decade. Maybe some attention can get us some calls, maybe some better free Agents, Maybe some wins.
-
I like early 2025 Mendoza, hoping he continues to play at this level the rest of the season. I am also warming up to Moore. It’s nice to have choices and not just settle. No more franchise killing trade ups, please.
-
It really does feel like we’re Jets 2.0. They last made the playoffs 14 years ago in 2011 and doesn’t look like they’ll make it this season. Panthers last made it in 2017. So it’s possible, like you say, that we’re only halfway through the suck…
-
Yes, please. Start him for the rest of the season. If he sucks, draft the next hero. If he shows he can play then you are good to go.
