  1. Past hour
  2. He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
  3. Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
  4. The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back. We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond. Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field. Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
  5. Only saving solution to keeping CMC under his averages is *BUT* then kittle is then breaking the single game TE records.....
  6. 39-13 49ers win. We score a garbage time TD, but this game is over at the half.
  7. I'm debating of going to San Francisco as well. The last time I went was in 2017, the last time we won against SF and the season opener and my daughter got Cam Newton's opening drive touchdown ball. I'm also in Las Vegas (I live here) and am also going to F1.
  8. Shout me over lad I'll get on the piss with you
  9. Bugles. Don't ever forget the bugles.
  10. I am not making it Bryce specific. Haven’t been for a while now, once I understood the nuance of it. In fact the only time I have mentioned it in relation to Bryce this time around that I recall, is to show that another QB could get the same credit for that handoff scenario as Bryce did for his actual last possession on Sunday. Which is unfair. My point is it is a shitty indicator in general.
  11. Today
  12. Bryce Won NFC Offensive Player of the Week bryce young - Search / X
  13. Playbook was the same. Falcons are just too beat up at linebacker to stop it. Same playbook from the first time they played. bryce johns jj McCarthey winning OPOTY
  14. …and I quoted you there, as that is exactly what Cam said he actually said, ‘just because I play football well doesn’t mean I’m an ok person. I try to be I strive to be but I will fail’ he talked a lot about being stereotyped as a black man playing qb and actually that made me sad …but you have to only think back to the Tennessee Mother’s reaction to his dancing to understand what he meant I remember saying to him ‘your problem is that you are a nonconformist in a sport that expects QBs to conform ‘. He agreed I miss him. He was larger than life as a qb. He was the best athlete on the field Not necessarily the best qb but the best athlete. we won’t see his like again
  15. And like I already showed, only two games of of 10 here fall into that. The numbers are likely similar to other QBs.
  16. I used to think that stat meant something special. Turns out, a fraction of the time… a GWD is really some special thing It is about like when people say a fraction of this or that, but they actually mean a small fraction. 1/1 is technically a fraction. Handing off one time at 14.58 in the 4th quarter, then calling the kicker in… is technically a GWD. Woot. Call the HOF committee.
  17. There was an article/video posted on here preseason discussing how defenses are evolving the safety position. I don't have the energy to Try to find it (I looked about 5 minutes before giving up). It was back when we were all freaking out about not having a real free safety on the team. I'm not smart enough to go into detail, but the gist was that DC got sick of giving up 400 yards a game and made changes. Hopefully someone out there is able to find it; good read/watch.
  18. Debating taking the ole private jet for a spin out west and picking up Jeff Bezos, Roseanne Barr, and the guy that played Chunk in the Goonies to catch the game. Depends if they got a good luxury box available or not. If not, heck, I'll probably just catch it home on my couch while my wife complains about me watching it and my daughter asking why she can't watch a Christmas movie on the big TV.
  19. He averaged 2.2 going into Atlanta. 3 shot attempts is the most consistent number that pops on his pass charts. 5 games w/ 3 attempts. His high was Miami with 4.
  20. Go to San Fran and just skip the game IMO. The stadium is huge but in the middle of nowhere requiring a train ride to get there ( some nice views) and I remember the seats being a bit cramped compared to BOA.
  21. Keep away from North Winston, you should be fine. West Winston towards Clemmins is cool. If you're ever at the Peterscreek Walmart, the Pepsi guy is .
  22. Game-winning drives have been credited to QBs since the beginning of time
  23. A lot of people have been slobbing all over this last draft but I hate the way that Fitterer/Morgan have built this offense since drafting Bryce. Anyone with eyes knew our IOL was crap but we didn't invest there and instead took project receivers and an injured RB. If you want a lesson in how build for your QB wrong, IMO, this was it. Draft him, protect him, THEN get him weapons. Its pretty much a rule, draft interior linemen, pay tackles. We're paying everyone. We had the opportunity to draft a center instead of Brooks, or perhaps instead of trading up for XL, trade back and take 2 guards/center. We could have paid Lewis and still drafted 2, but Hunt at 100m was just an overpay. And it's not like the guys many of us were begging us to draft were long shots. They're solid starters from day 1. Injuries happen. That's why all your starters can't be high value players. You need rookie contracts mixed in to be able to absorb those inevitable losses on the line. An offensive line playing an entire season together is an abnormality. Factor into that also paying Moton 44m this offseason with a huge signing bonus when we didnt need to do right now to do him a "solid". Now we have to sign Icky and possibly Bryce and it's a mess with more money tied up in the offense, inevitable cuts and dead cap coming. That's not even factoring in shifting Corbett to C last year after major injury to start at a position he's never played for an NFL season. It's all stuff that was foreseeable and pretty easily avoided. The $$ and picks we've spent trying to surround Bryce outside of Tmac (Mitchell and Horn are TBD) have been used inefficiently IMO. Smarter drafting and FA with the line could have let us get more reliable weapons than XL and Sanders in FA. It might not be popular opinion, but I'll take a Bersin with hands that can get 6-8 85% of the time vs a big play XL with greasy fingers. The part about hitting guys in stride was more about placement, which Bryce has struggled with. Obviously not every route is run to be hit in stride, but they do need to have the ball placed well to give the receivers a chance to do something after the catch. I just used Hill as an example because he's the biggest YAC threat I could think of over the past 5 years. Receivers can feast on dink and dunk if it's schemed right. But to make it work, that vertical threat has to be there, if not the deep pass then the high speed routes that can spring someone for the huge YAC to keep the safeties from cheating into that 20 yard box all game. I hope DC and Bryce can keep up what they did in the last game and it isnt just an Atlanta thing. But no matter what, I really want to see some better long term strategy coming from the FO.
  24. Eh. Don't speak it into existence lol. We've got enough on our plate just trying to overcome the bad juju of what has been our historically bad perfomances more often than not in primetime over the course of 30 years. We're overdue for a statement primetime game!
