  5. Oddly feeling really good about tonight. fug the heat
  6. Here are my takeaways from the conference (IMO): - Is Dan against taking a WR 3 years in a row? No. Would that be his preference? Also, no. Not by a long shot. - I think draft gurus are wrong. Tight end is not an early priority. They like the guys in the building enough to see them develop, but a later round guy is being looked at (just seemed like he was able to label a couple of guys "talented", but stopped short of suggesting the class is good at the top. Seemed quick to talk about the depth of the class) - If we are taking a DL, it will be in the top 2 rounds. They fall off a cliff at some point soon after. - They are targeting guys in each round. I think we are more likely to move up than down in this draft to prevent missing out on a guy. He doesn't want to give up a lot though, man loves his draft picks. - DBs are a priority. We want to come away with a safety and a nickel. Maybe even a safety that can play nickel. Thieneman sounds more and more like a real possibility, if he is there. We are taking a safety in the first 2 rounds, if I had to put money on it. - Age matters more for 1st round picks, probably (Mesidor), but not for after that (Stukes). - They have a guy or two that they want in the 1st round, but crazy things DO happen in the draft, and they may shift gears and take a different guy if someone falls that they didn't expect to be there. - Character matters. A LOT. If a guy has character concerns of any kind, you can be pretty confident they aren't on our board. They may bring in a guy or two for a visit to gauge the validity/severity of the concern though.
  7. Yeah don't wanna see anyone get hurt. Hopefully Chatters is sitting.
  8. NO is a dark horse IMO. Not sure of how bad their roster is but I think that QB is cerebral and sound. Seems like the kind of guy that can elevate the play around him and figure out how to make the chicken salad. And I hate it.
  9. Today
  10. Ha I know right. It makes since for them to ride out his option years and see if he can take another step forward. If not our next QB steps into a good situation. If you look at Drew Bree's' stats his first 3 seasons in San Diego they're pretty similar to Bryce's and those offenses had a lot of talent. Best case is he takes that same kind of leap now. I don't know if he's got that in him but we're about to find out for sure
  11. Sounds about right for a team that had a bottom 5 passing offense and backed into the playoffs at 4-6.
  12. That honestly seems about right for a betting line.
  13. The refs called very few fouls on our last 4 opponents. Or at least it felt that way. Kon was getting mugged
  14. That's a very true statement. The reason Bryce threw to Thielen so much is he was exactly where he's supposed to be. Everything has to be about anticipation and timing with his size. Can't change that so gotta prioritize WRs knowing where to be and the hands so we don't have wasted plays
  15. Hope isnt a plan. Being realistic seems like a better way to navigate life.
  16. If you weren't always predicting against the team, I might pay more heed to what you're saying. But man, I just refuse to step in the turds you're dropping. At some point, especially in the off season, you've got to give yourself a chance to hope.
  17. Can the Canes just call up the entire Chicago team and play them? Honestly, tonite could look like the all-star game- no defense, no checks, no hits and no blocked shots.
  18. To be fair, the NHL went to a 3v3 because of TV. So, if TV demanded a quicker and shorter OT game to determine the winner, why didn't the NHL adopt this for the playoffs? Like, when more people will likely be watching?
  19. My thought on the division is it is weak. We could tiebreak a 7-10 season into a Division crown. Who is buyi g the hat?
  20. There isn't but it would help if he and his draft scouts would stop targeting the same type of WR. Maybe put extra emphasis on hands and route running instead of constantly chasing RAS. Just a thought...
  21. Joe Person @josephperson · 33m Panthers GM Dan Morgan says team will wait until after the draft before exercising the fifth-year option on QB Bryce Young. "We'll get that done once he gets back in the building."
  22. We likely to be playing Saturday or Sunday this weekend? Got a flight to Arizona Sunday at 4.30pm and thinking I may have to move it or be frustrated with plane wifi
  23. Joe Person @josephperson · 24m Dan Morgan says he thinks the DL group this year is "a little top heavy."
  24. Alex Zietlow @alexzietlow05 · 20m If a wide receiver is the best player available at 19, Morgan said he “wouldn’t hesitate” to draft him. Mike Kaye @mike_e_kaye · 21m #Panthers GM Dan Morgan says he doesn’t think there’s a rule against selecting a WR in the first round three years in a row. He says he’s always going to take the best player available.
