I said this on Twitter responding to someone, they were like "well, how do you propose making offensive line weakness better" and I just answered, its simple. Run. The. Ball. Grinding the ball running is simple. Passing game can require a lot of thinking, blocking schemes and such. If you dedicate to run game, it simplifies the O-line assignments, hat on a hat. See man, hit man. It will flow off of that, if you establish that run game it makes the playaction more effective, it makes them more hesitant to focus on pass rush. Run the ball.

Eh Canales is a problem Hell even Mark Schlereth kept saying just run it to the right. After Carolina cut the lead to 17-13 Canales called 3 runs on the following 3 drives

Canalas’ play calling next week
Gapanthersfan replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Was about to say the same thing. DC would rather see his plan work than to win football games… pretty much the anti-adapter to what conditions allow… The ability to adapt is essential to winning consistently in the NFL. His approach is completely backwards and counter to what is actually needed. -
Are you going to start a new thread every time you have a negative thought?

Canalas’ play calling next week

Whatever the game plan is, it better put up at least 30 points! Dallas’s offense is on fire right now -
It's not going to matter if the Panthers run or pass. They just need to figure out something that works because Dallas is probably going to have their way with the Panthers defense. They'll probably put up 30-40 points easily. The Panthers probably won't unless they run out to a big early lead and can force Dallas into beating themselves with mistakes. Dallas has a very good offense and a very bad defense so it has potential for a high scoring game. Dallas has the 32nd dead last worst pass defense in the NFL and one of the 22nd ranked rushing defense. They've 28th in points per game given up averaging 30.8 per game. They have three total takeaways in 5 games. On the flip side, Dallas's offense is 1st in the NFL in total yards and 4th in total points per game. They are slightly ahead of the Panthers in rushing offense (Dallas is 6th and Carolina is 8th). But Dallas's passing offense is 3rd in the NFL vs the Panthers being near dead last (there's a lot of teams that have played a game less than the Panthers throwing off the numbers)

Canales' offense is meant to be ran by a gunslinger. Unfortunately he is stuck with game manager Bryce. So in order to run the ball more, he has to change his whole game plan. Most coaches are too prideful to change their style like that. I wish Canales would just simply bench Bryce and put in the Red Rifle.

I was saying the same thing about Baker while he was here Like man, WE are the problem. Now granted I was also a big Baker believer when he was coming out of college but still our situation is still the same mess it has been since day 1 with Tepper

We're running out of home games versus trash opponents. I said after week 2 we got a stretch of 3 winnable games and the team better take advantage of it because it's going to be a long season after week 5. To their credit, they won 2 of 3. That being said, we realistically only match those wins the rest of the season now we hit the meat of the schedule. The Saints are getting better and sweeping them might not be as easy as it once looked. We still probably split the Saints and shock another team. That's all I'm seeing as far as wins. -

Bryce is the unfortunate case of a guy who has immense athletic ability in a small package. If he was even 6' tall he might have a better shot at being a legit NFL QB. He's just too short to see over the line and all of his good throws come from throwing blind to the sidelines and scrambling out of the pocket so he can see the field. It's just not a recipe to win in the NFL.

This would be a .500 team with a competent starting caliber NFL QB.

Situation matters most. I’ve always said Sam’s arm is as good as they come but his Achilles heel is that when the play breaks down he’s likely to do something stupid. Which is exactly what happened yesterday. Sam panicked didn’t reset and threw a horrible INT This was happening a lot in NY and Carolina where the situation was a mess and plays were constantly breaking down. Whether that be guys not lining up correctly, the OL allowing pressure too soon, ugly route concepts, guys not where they need to be, etc. Sam then goes to Minnesota and plays under a real damn good HC in KOC and looks like a legit QB. Fundamentally the system in Minnesota is solid and plays don’t often break down leaving Sam having to think on his own. We still saw that same old Sam in Minnesota when plays did break down but it wasn’t as often due to the situation being solid around him. It’s the same thing that’s still happening here. Bryce obviously has his physical limitations and that’ll forever limit his ceiling but I believe he can still be a good QB in this league in a proper situation. At this point it looks like Young’s Achilles heel is going to be fumbling which is super frustrating because a lot of these fumbles are preventable. However, it’s clearly not changing so I’m not so sure it ever will. That 4th down play from Bryce down 17-0 in 2nd was huge. The play breaks down immediately due to pressure and Bryce rolled out and bought enough time to find TMac. The touchdown pass to Legette was a legit. Then on that 4th down play to Jimmy. Bryce wanted that play called and he nailed it.

Damn she should see whats happening in Gaza and chill

Seems about par for the course IMO. The Panthers have seemed to try to run off fans ever since Tepper started getting spurned by the fanbase because he ruined the team and the Roaring Riot has always been pretty cringe. So, yeah. Basically played out exactly as expected.

tell me you didn’t watch yesterdays game without telling me

Woe is me

I can't believe he tried to Chris Webber us before halftime, those little things are infuriating to watch in Year 3. He loses control and panics presnap too often I hate it. Did well enough to get the game over the line second half but its so unnecessary because of his first half miscues.

Any well functioning team benches Bryce
My Goodness My Guinness replied to CRA's topic in Carolina Panthers
The frustrating part is I know Bryce can play. The last 4 games last year he looked great and seemed to be playing free. But I turned the game off after that int yesterday. I don’t know wtf he was doing stepping up into his own blockers. I think he gets hit with paralysis by analysis. Like trying to not make the mistakes so he’s not seeing the field, ends up making worse mistakes. Anyone who plays sports knows what it’s like to “aim instead of throw.” It’s the difference in college and pros and he might just never get over it. -

It was a good day for the team. I say this, as a non fan of relentless cheerleading style leadership: I looked at the video of postgame locker room and you can’t tell me those players aren’t bought in. It didn’t look fake to me. -
Someone got annoyed and posted their annoyance online

We need to stick with the same gameplan and just run it down their throats all game. Chubba or Dowdle, whoever our prime back is, should have a big game.

I agree. I’m cautious to engage in many “take up my cause” posts nowadays. But, this was shared by RoaringRiot’s founder that used to be a prominent guy here. And he’s always been credible, so I figured it was pretty cut and dry. I’m sure there is more to it, but idk… I’m also finding a lot of people in this political and social climate are, as Charlie Murphy famously coined, “habitual line steppers.” In this case, maybe an over zealous, “security is my life” guy making something his business that really wasn’t?
