  1. Past hour
  2. I might argue about how fixable his mechanics are. Since it is year three and he has still not internalized the corrections. It isn’t easy to fix the degree of wack he has displayed.
  3. Yeah but Jones was a solid starter prior to Daboll and Baker was always a good QB. Geno is the outlier and Sam is gonna have to do this another year or so for me to believe. I understand people like those stories but they are memorable because they are rare. Most of the guys you listed, if not all, will probably be out of the NFL in 4 years. I am not saying definitely no, especially if Dalton retired or left for whatever reason but you named four very clear downgrades at QB.
  4. yeah, we really aren't in a window to be aggressive. This still looks like about a 6-ish win team. All they did was win in the window they always were going to have to in order to get to that 6ish and it took some really flukey stuff even thing (Penix gift game, Rico going Bo Jackson, etc). to me aggressive teams should be teams where making some noise/catching some magic this postseason.
  5. The elephant in the room being the QB. I don't know why talking heads aren't brave enough to address it.
  6. Olsen's been very Carolina positive through the entire Tepper pooshow era. He isn't a straight shooter. Not saying he should be. G-reg got football plans and I think he wants lots of doors to remain open.
  7. I wouldn’t be opposed to an under the radar type deal where we are looking to next year as part of it. Maybe someone teams are overlooking and the price is right. Rentals for this year? GTFO.
  8. I've heard he's been practicing per WFNZ. Smokescreen?
  9. He said “don’t tease me”. I will give you poor taste. But heinous?
  10. How does Rosebust not get on the disappointment list? I get that Jackson<Horn but if we had a Mike Jackson caliber FA at LB and probably a couple other positions the team would be in much better shape. Not saying he's the second coming but there are a few positions that can be improved with the addition of good/not great players.
  11. LOVE this guy! "You better tell them to quit running at me, G..dammit" and "Rookies don't get half" both cracked me up.
  12. No one said anything heinous about his injury, you are just a little too sensitive about Bryce. Where was this sensitivity when people were excited to see Horn play cause X was injured?
  13. Sure he is a former Panther and stays involved with the team but I think he is a straight shooter and tells it like it is. He surely seems more positive than folks around here and he surely knows a lot more than folks here. Feel free to respond to me but know I claim no expertise just repost those who I respect and think are.
  14. Time to give Dalton a game or two and see if we need to see what might be available for a late round pick. If Bryce is gonna be the QB there's just no need to look for any other short term roster bandaids.
  15. Lance and Willis are already QB2s for stable franchises. Willis came in and won game games for GB last year when Love went down. He is still young as everyone knew he was a project coming into the league. Howell racked up a ton of passing yards his rookie year playing for a dysfunctional Commanders team, he turned the ball over a lot and took a lot of sacks but he was a rookie so that is expected. He is still sitting and learning with the Eagles. Lance couldn't stay healthy to get a fair chance to start and Purdy took that job and never looked back. Lance has now sat and learned in a Shanny offense and is currently QB2 in LAC learning in a Harbaugh offense. He looked good in preseason, but that doesn't mean much. Zack Wilson struggled with the Jets (who hasn't), his biggest concern would be not beating Ewers for QB2 in Miami. These are just young QBs who have a decent ceiling and most are currently already QB2s which is what we need regardless. They all come pretty cheap and if DC can develop any of them further they could potentially be a starter for us. Super low risk, fulfills an immediate need with a possibly good payout. You do moves like this while building your roster. Once your franchise is stable enough with talent you can make a move again for a rookie QB if the cost is right. So I guess I'm not sure how Willis and Lance take the step to be QB2 when they currently are for much better franchises? A QB2 is either a vet who isn't good enough to be a QB1 but can manage a couple games, or a young QB that has shown potential but still needs to prove they can be a QB1.
  16. Bryce Young's bad throw % has been basically off the charts horrible since arriving in the NFL for a starting QB. 2023 - only 1 QB was worse 2024 - just a slight handful were worse 2025 - that 2 week stretch where Rico went wild has temporarily lifted him out of his standard placement which he was in going into those 2 games. Which was one of the worst in the NFL.
  17. You’re right. I guess I was looking at it like we don’t have to sell out hard to get some help there. With the way DB creates havoc I would think an inside backer that was a strong blitzer could be a weapon.
  18. We still need more pass rush - but they're a good start. You need 4 guys to rotate at OLB.
  19. Bryce is like Jerry Seinfeld. Bad jokes, very limited on screen charisma, and a bad actor. But they surrounded him with the greatest supporting cast of all time (writing included) and you can name the show after the guy. Unfortunately QB does not work that way.
  20. I just feel like TE is an excuse to the BPA rule, unless you really just have NOBODY at TE, which I personally don't feel is the case for us with the 3 we have right now. Even if you were to say a TE was our actual top ranked player on the board when our 1st round pick is on the clock, I can't see it being such a big gap between him and players at positions of more of a need to where it's then a dumb decision to not take the highest ranked player left on the board. Because yes, a game changing TE can really change your team, but at the same time, it also is the least important position in today's game, since realistically the best TEs are really just big WRs these days anyways, so if you have a good enough WR (and RB) room, TE becomes less of a need. I also think if Coker and Horn Jr pan out, XL could be used in more of a TE type of role where we line him up in the slot and hope to get favorable matchups against smaller DBs or slower LBs.
