Yeah I have to disagree. Your take is why we drafted him over other options for sure. Last year they attempted 58 % pass vs 42% run. That's not a run first offense and DC has never really even done a run first offense ever...even of that's what he has said he would do. In that case Ickey needs to keep improving but if he hovers around where he has been then it's hard to justify a top LT contract for a run first LT IMO.

Veteran CB trying out for Panthers
kungfoodude replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Horn has yet to be better than Ramsey to date. I am sure that will change eventually but Ramsey is still(including last season) a better CB than Horn. I don't think you will see Miami move on from Ramsey this season anyway. The cap hit would be pretty extreme. That is a more likely move next offseason. -
How long before we hear a Tet Offensive reference in a broadcast?

I am not convinced he will ever really shine under Evero. -
Icky's pass blocking has been a work in progress since he's entered the league, but this team is also looking to have a balanced, run-first offense. It's difficult for me to put such a premium on his pass-blocking with that in mind. If his run-blocking stays in the top-15 and his pass-blocking grade climbs into the top-30 then he's gotta be retained imo.

The Athletic's "Undrafted Player to Watch"
kungfoodude replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
It does seem like there haven't been a ton of good centers come out recently. Luckily for us, we passed on every one that DID pan out at least once in their respective draft classes. #TepperMagic -
BC is what he is, a backup caliber player. Hence why this offseason when he was available, there was basically zero interest from the other 31 NFL teams. I am glad to have BC back as a valuable depth guy but he would get his lunch eaten as a 17 game starter. That's why he is still here as a backup. He is not anything close to an answer at LT or RT. If we move on from Moton and/or Ikey, there has to be a valid replacement.

Xavier Legette is the face of the NFL at the Kentucky Derby

You really don't know. XL could be a 1k 10 td guy next season and Tmac could get 400 and 1td. It's totally plausible. -
Jaycee LOCKDOWN Horn is due for a breakout year

I have no concerns with him on the field. All of the concern is about how much time he's had to spend off the field. -
Yea I don't think most people were calling DeAndre Hopkins "Nuk" either.

Go for 1200 yards and 10 TDs and I’ll call him whatever he wants.

I just don’t see Nalo catching on with the general public. I’m sure it makes sense for his friends but it feels forced from my perspective. Tmac is just a natural shortening of his name. Tet feels most natural, imo, as is evidenced by basically everybody naturally just calling him that before they are told not to. Imo, mama bear should just get over that one, but hey it’s what moms do. If he is ok with Tet, as he said he is, I think it’s fair game. Either way, if you have to take a poll on a nickname, I think that is an answer in and of itself.

I never called Tomlinson LT either heh

If this young man avoids the injury bug he’s about to be an All-Pro https://x.com/fbgreatmoments/status/1918455546685906966?s=46 you add a ferocious d-line and QBs won’t have all day to throw the ball

Good OL are so hard to find these days.

Panthers.com says he actually wanted #11 initially. It's fine. It just seems like the league has maybe gone a bit too far in loosening up numbers for position groups. That's all some people are saying. But this was probably always inevitable anyways as they years go on. I'm just ready to see him get out there and pluck some passes out of the air.

PFF raves about our draft. The best class in the whole draft?
Shotgun replied to Panthers Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
Drafting starters means a lot more if you have a good roster and win 10+ games a season. If you have one of the worst rosters in the nfl and win 5 games…is it really that impressive? I hope they will end up being good players but how many would start on a team like the eagles or ravens? Any? -
