I wont be one of them, but holy hell the amount of hate Isaac Davis is going to get .....
-
He blocked a field goal against the Bucs.

At this point its Sadiq or bust... A

I don't think Sadiq is going to be on the Panthers board and the beat reporters are giving away that impression by mentioning that he doesn't fit the physical requirements of the Panthers scouting staff. - Today

If Utah Valley could shoot free throws this would be a lock.

I could smell this excuse coming. Any starter drafted after the 2nd is a bonus, not an expectation. Oh we need more offensive help because we spent so much on defense. We spent all that because we've barely drafted any defensive starters the last 5 years. The way I see it you'll get a better return on investment in defense than offense currently with this team. We proved that last year with just a modicum of investment in the defense. I'm not the biggest believer in Evero but I trust him more than Bryce. The biggest factor holding the offense back wears #9. Accuracy is one of his strengths? 23rd in the league while being 30th in Y/A. Someone will claim we get no YAC but 49% of our yards were YAC which is higher than most teams in the league. Unless he drastically improves you're going to get a bad return on investment. Yes TMac had a great rookie year but it wasn't exactly efficient volume wise. He has one of the worst catch % in the league at just 57%, probably related to that 23rd accuracy ranking. -
If this team lets the Bucks or Bulls catch them, Charles Lee should be fired immediately and punched in the face by some random fan on the way to his car.
-
Bucks and Bulls have to try hard to tank and not take our play in spot at this point, still not mathematically eliminated I think but too tired to do the math, too close for comfort either way to close out the regular season in a drought

After Styles it’s Hill Jr. who I really want the next most as a Panther.
-
Theres a very good chance the best player available is an OT or DT.
-
Eeehhh it was a top team who also happens to be 3-7 last 10

The fan's perspective.

@toldozer - morning drank for St Patty's Day parade, then napped all afternoon / evening. On Utah Valley -2.5 next.

We really need the Bus to bounce back. If his play up to this point was an aberration, then we're going to need Freddie to be the man. Great game tonight but doesn't feel great.

WR in the first would boil my blood. Sadiq is a good idea and hope and pray Anthony Hill is there in the second. This is a heavy LB draft, they can get a good linebacker in the second or third. Nose tackle is low key a huge need with Robinson gone. Super bummer he’s gone, good leader and solid player. Big hole to fill.

BREAKING: Panthers re-signing Nick Scott
hepcat replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s had so many moments that I look at and say hey, who was that who just gave up that big play? Who just missed that tackle? And if I was blindfolded and had to guess one player on the panthers defense who gave up a big play I would always guess Nick Scott -
This is the best plan. Convince me otherwise

well he decided not to upgrade the position at all and re-signed Nick Scott -
Most Hornets' fan post ever. We've got to go 7-3 or better over the next 10, otherwise I'll have zero faith in them making any noise through the play in.
-
He has done well in spots late. but you are forgetting there was a 4play sequence where we could have gone down and forced OT. We discussed how that went after the game and people were split, many blamed it on Canales. Many blamed it on a receiver not catching pass. It was 4 plays every one a failure. Don’t fool yourself thinking that he does it at will. talking about the WC game.

Yeah. How he shows up in training camp with a year of NFL training and nutrition will tell us all we need to know. Side note... how has Bryce still managed not to find the weight room?

I hope he finds his lane in year 2. Now that we signed Walker, I'm really intrigued how Dan feels about the DL. Is there a piece there in R1 that presents value/BPA and fills a void for one of the spots w/ DB and Wharton. I'll give Wharton another year to show us why he was signed here. With A'Shawn gone, I don't think BBIII is it. Our edges are set and our LBs are balanced. Horn/Mike Jack and Moehrig will hold the secondary together. DB is, well...DB. However, I think this is an area that is the biggest question mark right now. I see 1 of 3 spots that are locked and loaded for us. If we move to a 4 down front, I assume Phillips would slide down to be the additional linemen, but we still have questions about the other two spots in either scheme. I'd feel better with a tradeback, but I do wonder how McDonald would do here. Maybe Woods....but McDonald really does peek my interest. Or, can Jackson take that next step. The coaching staff speaks highly of him for what little he played. Here's hoping he stays healthy and comes into TC with something to prove. There's a spot to be taken, here's hoping he takes it.

Not many people talking about DT, but we have a need. (DE) Now this guy is a NT like Brown III

But is it about letting Bryce develop or about winning games? Bryce has not been good enough to be an uncontested starter. He just hasn't. How many times has last drive Bryce shown up for 4 entire quarters? Once in 3 seasons? You aren't going to win 9 or 10 one score games every season year in and year out. You may want Bryce in the last 2 minutes. I want that Bryce the full 60. No one is saying you have to give up on him, but bringing in another QB that can do anything is not hindering Bryce. It helps the team and that's where the focus needs to be. If drafting Sadiq to plague the middle of the field would help out offense, but Bryce struggles to get pass into the middle of the field, is Sadiq a bad pick? Or could he be a good pick with a better option at QB? We can't be afraid to improve. QB, TE, OL, LB, DL, CB, S. It doesn't matter. The goal is SBs, not 5 to 8 years seeing waiting to see if Bryce can develop while the rest of the league keeps passing us by. Sadiq is a nice option, but I think we have to address tackle if one we like is there because we are painfully thin after this year, a LB to general the field, and a true ball hawking safety that can set the tone in the secondary. Those 3 positions are bigger game changers than a TE that will likely struggle to make a round 1 impact in this offense. -
Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?

BREAKING: Panthers re-signing Nick Scott
flagfootballcoach28 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
