  1. Past hour
  2. Not y'all logging into a Carolina Panthers message board to call other Carolina Panthers fans homers.
  3. Bryce Young has been a tale of two QBs. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. To use stats and film prior to returning from being benched is a little disingenuous. Completely different players. Like a new BY returned. You could actually see him trying something new every week, that he was afraid to do before - and being successful at it. If he picks up this season where he left off, we'll have our franchise QB. And yes he was proficient against pressure. And yes he could throw the deep ball efficiently - with a couple of drops that NFL WRs shouldn't make. If he reverts back to the unsure and conservative Bryce from the first two games and most of his rookie season, then we'll be drafting a QB in the first round in 2026. No one knows which we'll get yet. Not even Bryce. My advice would be to stay aggressive going down field. The FO appears to be bringing in receivers that can win the 50/50 ball. That opens up routes underneath. Teams stop blitzing as much and keep a safety over the top. Now what if they had to keep two? It's a lot tougher to defend the middle of the field with LBs than Safeties. I get what they're doing. BY just has to play that game. I think he will. He did in college.
  4. It's really, really strange how much I'm seeing folks down on Bryce repeating "NO EXCUSES!" for his failures while having nothing but excuses to try and invalidate his successes.
  5. It seems you just want to bag on the organization at this point. It is clear they had interest, it didn't work out initially, but it is coming out that he is getting his time to see what he wants to do. That is somehow turning into knocks on Canales play calling, lack of ingenuity, Dan's GM decisions, and the ineptitude of the entire organization. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that he was an okay to decent WR, with only one thousand yard season, and returning from battling a crippling ailment. All you keep saying is he is better than and he brings something we don't have. You know what we do have, six WRs who aren't recovering from a debilitating gastrointestinal issue.
  6. Im shocked the line about wanting Thielen gone to get young receivers more opportunities was really about getting ones college guy on the roster.
  7. Lots of opinion and no facts. Typical for you. You decide what reality is and run down that road regardless of the facts. Props for being consistent.
  8. Almost as funny as Carolina Panther homers before a season kickoffs My preseason calls under Tepper have played out at a high percentage. It's so easy. When thinks smell odd....they 99% of the time are just that. Just go with that.
  9. Very fair point re: when all 3 were playing at the same time. Quick count of weeks 1, 2, 12 - 15, 17, and 18 (AT out 4 - 10, XL out 14, Bryce out three as well (3, 4, 6), week 11 was a bye) actually came out to AT 51, XL 46 over that period. AT was definitely Bryce's most reliable WR, but it wasn't like the ball was being forced to Thielen at the expense of XL's development. EDIT: Got curious about Coker and the only game that AT + XL + Coker were on the field together were vs. DAL, @TB, and @ATL. Targets for those three games totaled out to for 19 for AT, 17 for XL, 15 for Coker. Those AT numbers are going to likely go predominantly to TMac
  10. I thought he started to develop good chemistry with Coker over the last half of the season.
  11. To put it in perspective, this is a deep ball thrower. Notice how the efficiency basically has minimal drop off regardless of range. This is Bryce Young The other QB is Joe Burrow.
  12. It really isn't though If you were to go out to a bar every week of the season, even to just watch one batch of games, i.e. just the 1 pm or just the 4 pm, and spent only $30 a week, you're looking at $540 bucks, $510 if you're just going for the 17 weeks your team is playing, assuming no national games. Also, from past experience, it's hard to spend only 30 bucks if you're at a bar for 3+ hours to watch the game. Even just a small appetizer, a meal, and say 2 beers was going to run you $40ish, and that was back in 2019 when I used to go to BWW to watch all our games pre the Covid year when I just started finding streams and stuck with that until YouTube got the package from DirecTV. At $450 for a full season, to be able to watch every game, to be able to make your own quad box, to be able to switch between the sound for any game (at a bar in Michigan, I would never get to hear the commentary on our games)... It's really not a bad deal, and that's if you're only watching your team's games. If you're a fantasy football junkie like myself, then it's a flat out steal, as depending on your TV set up, you can get every game from your fantasy matchup playing. I do a projector with a quad box on it, a local game on the TV, and then if needed, I can put another game on my laptop and another on my phone.
  13. He has looked worse than Bryce has looked on his worse days since entering the nfl, maybe he will do something for the panthers but trask or zappe woule have been preferred.
  14. College Homer's are hilarious
  15. Reporters almost never talk about guys struggling. It was all sunshine and rainbows about Bryce and that defense last year during camp. It’s just what they do. To me it was telling when the Renfrow mentions dropped significantly halfway through camp. I know some of his family so I’ll get the real story sooner or later. I know it was always his dream to play here, so I’d think he’d do it if he could.
  16. Frankly it’s all a massive rip off. I should be able to get only Panthers games for like $50 a year
  17. It was in the updated roster thread. All signings and waver pickups are in there.
  18. Great move Panthers. Hope he is proven to take the #2 spot. "Keep Pounding"
  19. Today
  20. this is where the Bryce defense goes off the rails for me. We all know Bryce isn't a deep ball chunk play QB. He doesn't have those physical tools and he doesn't play the game w/ that mindset. It simply is not what he is. Then you got folks going essentially going, well actually Shaq was a very efficient 3 pt shooter this season. He shot 50% from behind the arc and Steph Curry was only at 48%. So yeah, Shaq is a very effective 3 pt shooter. Don't say he isn't a 3 point shooter. Meanwhile, Shaq went 1 of 2 on the season and Steph shot 9343924 3s. Russell Wilson is a deep ball chunk QB. Baker is. Geno was his comeback season (best in the league that year I think is the correct call). That's the Canales pass tree. EVERY QB throws deep at some point. Arguing you can find a good grade when they went deep one week is just that. No one can argue Bryce plays the game like a young Wilson throwing f you hail marys downfield. Jake Delhomme fits Canales more than any Carolina Panther QB. Teddy Bridgewater can grade out efficiently on his deep passes. That doesn't make him a deep ball chunk QB. 2 totally different convos. It would be better for everyone IMO if our org accepted what the unicorn was and built a team around that given they invested so much in him.....which is the criticism I started day 1 when they put him in Frank Reich's offense. He didn't fit that. He doesn't fit the Canales tree either. NFL is about fit more than anything and it's what Carolina gets most wrong. We essentially run offenses we don't have the QB talent for and you can say the same w/ the 3-4 D. That's the Bryce era.
  21. THE David Moore !?!?! We're saved. I expect TMac to have 200 catches, 3k yards, 20 TDs and be uncoverable this year with all the information he can get from watching our HoF WR David Moore.
