  1. Past hour
  2. Stats and grades are all good but the biggest factor is why they team that drafted him does not want to pick up his option. That to me says more than anything. I'm watching every pro snap before I decide to give up a pick AND a big contract to.
  3. Too many examples of head cases and just down right bad guys in the NFL to think that Shedeur's "fall" was anything other than the fact that teams either didn't need a QB or thought there were better options to get them where they were trying to go. I think all of the off-field stuff is a tiebreaker when the on-field stuff makes two picks interchangeable.
  4. The only way I see it happening is if they bring him in as the backups backup because they want a leader on the defense in the locker room to help solidify the culture, especially with all the new additions on that side of the ball. So basically.....it won't happen. I appreciate everything Shaq did for this team, truly an underrated guy who had the misfortune of playing for some bad HCs/DCs/Teams starting with the end of Rivera's tenure.
  5. Still think they keep Moore instead
  6. They have coaches and a vet for that already on the team. Shaq is washed man. It's time to let it go.
  7. Glade to see this Hurricanes Sign Veteran Forward to Contract Extension
  8. I feel like its been proven over and over again at QB. You can't take the guy that was handed everything on a silver platter. This isn't a case of he is just so much better then everyone Colorado would be crazy to not recruit him and make him the man. This is a case of the coaches son getting special treatment. They retired his number for fugs sake. QB in the NFL is too hard, you have to be locked in. Sanders does not have the mental makeup to be that guy. Then you add all the flags about his processing ability and not being able to throw with anticipation/throw receivers open. Doesn't even have the arm to wow you and think there is something to work with and mold.
  9. That's a good question. But his stats look good, PFF grades are good and there aren't any off-field issues I'm aware of. It could be as simple as the new regime doesn't value him the same way the old one did. Sometimes when new coaches/GMs take over teams players like this can slip between the cracks. In any event, I feel like he's worth looking into.
  10. I understand that but it would be good if he could help our young guys develop. A lot of knowledge, he has. Maybe he could be part of the coaching staff?
  11. I think this Belichick to UNC move is in the end....going to provide some entertainment people didn't really see coming. For as boring as Bill was in NE....I think old discarded to college football Bill, with the new 20 year old chief of staff of all things Bill girlfriend, is going to get weirder.
  12. If he's ascending as you say then why are the Jags not picking up his 5th year option?
  13. Absolutely bring him back. He's great for the locker room culture and serviceable if he's 100% healthy.
  14. or when they were visiting with him, someone from his team was just doing some standard smoke blowing at Milore.....which you got to think all teams do for guys on their board they like. I would imagine the Panthers probably talked to a lot of edge rushers and told them things that would contradict. How many guys did they likely tell were at the top of their board or they viewed as the best guy(or some variation of that type talk) given Milore showed up at the draft (he can thank Sanders for that not getting attention)....I do feel someone likely oversold him their impression of him.
  15. He is better than Jewell for sure. I hope he waits until a contender has a need vs signing with some bottom feeder like the Panthers.
  16. Yeah I agree. One of the plans worked out. I do like the Seahawks GM responding that Milroe wasn't his QB1. A reporter asked if the reports were true that Milroe was QB1 on his board. He closed his eyes in thought and was like no we wasn't, but tried to save it a little by saying he was "close." Must have gotten him when he was overtired and let out some truth.
  17. His misery is my delight! I really need to get my daughter to make some Haula sucks bracelets.
  18. I'm sticking with my longstanding view. You can't actually believe anything a team says to the masses when doing PR runs. The real goal isn't to be truthful....it's to sell what they did. Every team after the draft essentially tells the same story year after year.....you won't believe it but guess what we got exactly who we wanted in every round. Steals practically. I think it's all partial truths. If the decision to draft Tmac was made so early.....then why were legit reporters talking about them working the phone so hard the day before the draft to move. if you make a thousand different plans. I guess you somewhat nail your plan.
  19. I generally am against trading picks for players in a rebuild, but for a young talented and ascending LB which is probably our biggest weakness rn I love it. Linebacker is one of the hardest positions to adjust to in the pros, dudes about to hit his prime.
  20. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jaguars-wont-exercise-devin-lloyds-2026-option' This is an interesting one. Could this be a good trade target for us at ILB? Young player with good production and still a good amount of upside. Likely an upgrade over one or both of Wallace/Jewell. Good PFF grades for those that care about such things.
  21. Today
  22. league ain't ready for this! I'm ready for camp to start. Need someone to get Bryce, Renfrow and Robert Hunt in a photo together so I can upgrade my avatar.
  23. Cheers OP. I wanted TMac to be the pick and was so excited, and surprised, when his name was called. Last year, I wanted one of the Xaviers, Worthy or Legette. So Dan has been delivering on my wish lists. Now I hope it pays off over the next few years. With our trade up last year into the first, we could have a dynamic WR duo on cost-controlled contracts for 4 years.
  24. Yea I have it. When it flares it can be very severe. I had an extended hospitalization a couple years ago and it took a while to recover. Can’t imagine trying to deal with that as a pro athlete. It’s hard enough as a desk jockey.
  25. I think the difference is that The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam were just big personalities with big time talent (The Golden Calf of Bristol just lacked any consistency, leading to most of us hating him because it felt like he pulled big plays out of his ass). Sanders is a good talent who is completely full of himself and the ego feels unearned. You should WANT to change the bad culture of the losing franchise you expect to go to as a top pick...but that's a thing you keep to yourself or articulate well enough that it doesn't come off as "we're doing poo my way, if you don't like that, don't draft me". You don't create an entire room touting yourself as legendary when you did absolutely nothing legendary at the collegiate level. Nobody is going to be fondly remembering Shadeur Sanders the college QB. Johnny Football is there, Cam is there, Vince Young is there, RGIII is there, The Golden Calf of Bristol is there. Sanders needs humility and to pry himself away from his father. His father is going to tank his career before it is even started. Sanders may bounce around the league as a backup for a few years, he'll play in select games and look like a backup but he'll have that one game where he pops off and that game will be used to say "see?! He's great!" and then he'll get the start and never live up to that game again.
